Any time there is any sort of competitive activity that has a decent size prize on the line, you will have people that get emotionally involved. As was mentioned before, the same sorts of things happen with just about any sport. Oh, but why don't you hear about football players pulling guns out after games? Because they make millions anyway. They have reputations to uphold and they don't want bad press. The kids playing in this video game tournament have none of that. They had very little besides morals to hold them back. Put a bunch of people together to compete for cash with nothing to lose and crazy shit WILL happen.

So, in essense, we won because our attrocities outweighed their attrocities? We did in such a short time what they had done over a much longer period of time and so they realized that rape and pillage as they might, they just couldn't kill civilians as fast as we could? That's a real sweet ending. We are clearly MUCH better than they are.

You need to buy more games. I had been following NwN for something like 2 years before it was released. I got it the day it came out and I was simply very disapointed. Bioware really shot themselves in the foot by trying to move into 3D and doing it in a very ugly, clumsy way. There were so many little things, not so much "wrong" but just slightly "off", that kept me from really enjoying the game. I think if the Singgleplayer game was better I might have a better opinion, but that module sucks so hard I can't complain enough about it.

They didn't actually implement any sort of anti-cheat. All they did was some sort of cheat detection, and closed accounts and banned some users and the CD keys of some repeat offenders. I know that not everyone who hacks in any of the games got caught (which is pretty logical) since THE VERY DAY blizzard posted the news, I ended up teaming up with a maphacker in Warcraft 3.

One of the blizzard reps did say on their website that they were in the process of trying to make the acount wipes happen more often. Hopefully that happens =/

If it's going on on open battle.net then I have no sympathies since you chose not to log in to the secure servers.

Activision isn't suing Viacom because everything since TNG has sucked, they are suing because they made a decision to stop producing any more series or movies. Your (4 Insightful, why??) analogy is way off. The proper analogy would be if the athletic wear manufacturers sued Shaq or others because they decided to quit their sport in the middle of a long term advertising deal, which would be a fair and lucrative suit.

Also, please explain the concept of a loosing team. I am familiar with teams that lose games, and are hence labled 'losing teams'. Maybe the two terms are related?
