It advertises for mozilla (in mozilla). It advertises things I'm already looking at. Does it advertise itself? I've been searching for this exact set of features! It's like the second coming!
It's a bit easier to setup if you use the supplied tools/wineinstall script (from the winex directory where cvs installs the files). I did it that way, and didn't have to mess with copying over.transgaming. Also had some problems with the manual configure, it was looking for a.transgaming directory in/usr/local/lib/winex-cvs/, but using the install script got it all setup fine.
I do have one question tho.. I had doom3 installed on my winxp partition and was trying to have winex run that... The best I could do was to get the doom console to pop up and it said unable to load "default.cfg". After I did a fresh install of the game to my home directory tho it worked fine.
It works OK with winex. Here is a page on how to get it to work but most of what he has written is pretty kludgy to put it nicely. A little tinkering will have it working in no time.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.
FFXI PVP system was announced
the other day. It's a team game you have to sign up in order to join. Thank god. PK games are completely stupid (unless they are specifically set up for that purpose).
that if you must by from a shady looking man on the street that the label does not say de1l or deil or some other close-but-not-call variant.
Judging by all the watches I ever bought in new york, I think that you would not be too happy in about 36 hours.
Do they really think that by getting rid of those who "don't play nice," those who do will spend enough money to make up for the lost customer base?
Actually, since there is no recurring charge, they lose no business at all. The people who get banned (probably) already bought the game, and depending on how much they care about it, might buy it *again*.
I can't see how this is flawed in any way. Legitimate players pay to play the game in a legitimate way, cheaters and griefers *should* be thrown out. Why should they expect to get away with being assholes and/or cheating?
If Blizzard got terribly overzealous with these rules, then I can see why you would complain. But at this point, you are just being paranoid. Banning cheaters and losers is nothing but good for everyone.
Yeah, the forum post in question is about a month old (Go Slashdot!), but basically the immidiate reason behind it was because this got to be such a problem that clans were formed that did nothing but backstab* teammates.
*Backstabbing includes anything from intentionally going to an allies base and attcking it, to more subtle forms of making nothing but farms, doing nothing at all, walling your ally in with buildings, killing all your units, etc... People were actually proud of the new and interesting ways they could come up with to screw up the game. Teenagers should be branded and avoided:p
let me ask you this....how "good" is something that you have spent you whole life dreaming of doing if it will prevent you from doing a relationship or a marrige?
If I would have known at the time I could have marketed the light emitting transistor after my discovery back in 7th grade industrial technology class.
Microsoft's dialup service isn't disappearing, but the company is scaling it back and ending the expensive marketing campaign. This leaves exactly how many big players in the dialup market? Dialup is still the only option in many places.
You can survive without advertising. IMHO, most people who aren't very knowledgable in this area (I.E. someone who would have to choose between AOL or "something else") are more prone to be persuaded by word of mouth anyway. Also, I wouldn't bet against the fact that there are probably some parts of the world where MS has a "monopoly" (for lack of a better term =/ )on the local dialup market anyway.
They also have some performing NPCs breathing fire and juggling knives, but I'm not sure if that's holiday related.
That's not holiday related. Whichever of the three nations is ahead in conquest points (through higher level missions and general killing the most monsters in the area) has that traveling band of performers in their town.
In FFXI they decorated all of the trees in the home cities in christmas fasion, and there is 1 moogle standing (flying? hovering?) in a main area in each of the 3 major cities handing out fireworks. There is speculation about some holiday themed quest, but as far as I know nothing has been uncovered.
If you want to check out the decorations, check out the Vana'diel Live Cam at the game's site, and you should see some in the background.
The order in which he wrote them was TLTWATHW first, the Magician's Nephew last. I believe he did this because it takes a lot of the magic and wondering out of the series if you know the complete origin of Narnia and the wardrobe. It helped to tie of the one loose end that was left after The Last Battle.
Not to mention that the phrase is displayed out of context, since in the game "The Hatians" are a gang. It is clearly not referring to Hatians as a nation, culture, race, or a people in general.

WTF? Old School was hillarious, you recluse.
But only if they did a good job, or it was a particularly memorable fall.

It's the sound of raging indifference.

i wish more people just watched southpark and shutted the hell up.
I wish more people just watched their Kindergarten teacher tell them that 'shutted' is not a word.
