I find this whole conversation funny. Why? If it were Micro$oft suing Pystar, everyone would be lining up to defend them, not the other way around. What makes it so different? Individuals have been trained like Pavlov's Dogs to growl and show hate whenever the word Micro$oft or Winders is mentioned. I do not personally like Winders (I use Linux for everything but gaming), but I do believe it did play a role in standardizing computers. Have we become "toys" for slick marketing to not apply the same standard to both companies?
Thank You

yes that is true: we support the little guy trying to give competition, so....
I opened up the RSS in tabs, saw "Incest Still High In t..." and couldn't resist immediately clicking.
And a short things that bugs me. Why does the "In" start with a capital letter, but "the" doesn't?
i usually do all my code comments like that. it's the same system that book titles use where important words and the first word start with a capital letter and all other important words are as well. in german they use every noun is capitalized and that's an interesting system too.
I administer a network of a about 200 windows systems, and we use almost exclusively AVG Free. Oy vey, am I gonna have a long day on Wednesday, maybe I should just unplug the phone now.
i thought the AVG free license was for personal non-commercial use.
I USB is a decent technology for certain things like peripherals and general data transfers. Firewire supplies more power and is better in time-sensitive transfer applications.
general data transfers, eh? thumb drives have really taken off on usb, but the speed is atrociously slow. as i use my 64gb usb thumb drive i only wished it could use those sweet, sweet firewire speeds googling for them while i wait...
eharmony gave me my free personality profile and told me "thanks, but no thanks...they don't have anyone to fit my unique characteristics."
i was all well guess what match.com likes my money just fine. after a year and a half with no further progress i cancelled match, and respected eharmony more.
That question is really easy to answer by looking at the license, and all your three answer were wrong. The license allows you to install one copy of the software on one Apple-labeled computer. It doesn't have to be an upgrade, so it is fine if you deleted your old copy of MacOS X, or if you install it on an Apple-labeled computer that never had MacOS X installed (or never had any MacOS version installed). In practice, it will usually be purchased by people who would otherwise buy an upgrade version.
Despite not having a Mac, i remember reading somewhere that it was 1 license/3 machines.

i love girls' soccer especially around highschool/college level. they are 10x as brutal as the men but act like they have no idea what happend when they get yellow carded.
i have seen untangling of wires and it is no girls' soccer.
that's a pet peeve of mine. windows installations for some reason never have an Ethernet driver. always have to download it using magic or another computer.
In 1997 IBM built a chess Supercomputer -- Deep Blue that had 64 cores. a chess board has 64 squares and IIRC IBM had it set up so each processor started from that square for move calculations and then compared the results at the end to the other processors. so it is possible for programming with 64.
the thing about it though is at least 32 squares are always starting out unused, but i guess that makes the parallel programming easier?
Our copy protection is an online protection system. There is never a need
to have a disc in the drive, or to have the hard copy of the game with you.
When you install, the system will ask you for the key that came with the
game, and then for a password, and, optionally, your email address.
Once the key has been verified on the LGP servers, and the password registered
then you are good to go, you never need to worry about the system again. It
will call to the LGP servers each time the game starts, to verify its
details. It does all this in the background. You do not need to enter
anything when you start the game.
If you wish to install the game on multiple personal machines, you may do
so, using the same password and CD key. This is explicitly allowed.
If you ever lose your password, you can request to have it emailed to you
using the key management system, which is readily available. This is why
we ask for your email address during registration, your email address will
never be used for anything else.
If your machine is not directly connected to the internet, or for some reason
your internet connection does not allow direct connection to our servers,
the game will allow you to continue to play for a certain amount of time
before requesting you re-verify with the LGP key server. If your machine is
unable to do this, for instance it does not have an internet connection,
or it is firewalled in such a way as to block the connection, or perhaps
you are on holiday and are nowhere near an ethernet socket for your laptop,
then you may verify your game using a web browser or WAP phone browser. This
can be used to indefinitely extend the time that a game may be played on a
machine with no direct internet connection, as long as you have SOME internet
access.
if BIOS is password protected
and grub is password protected
ubuntu password protected
*with secure hard-to-guess ones*
then it is quite secure. otherwise just allowing someone into bios or grub can make for a sad day.
AMD would be so much better off if they just Open Sourced the (AMD/ATI) 3D driver. With that kind of communication they would be embrassed overnight.
I remember when i first read that it was becoming open -- except they ment the 2D driver, which was already figured out anyway. how marketing/cowardly is that?
but there are so many teach yourself in 24 hour books so i can learn everything but feel a little sleepy. maybe they could make the chapters longer and reduce it to teach yourself in 18 hours so i can get a little sleep.

Maybe this Microsoft's way of fighting global warming? By educating more pirates, we insure a healthy planet for our children's children.
i am against anything for our children's children, because *i* don't believe children should even be having sex much less reproducing.
