    That's the most rediculous thing i've ever heard. If you don't like it, just register once and be done with it -- use fake info. why bother spamming their database with crap everytime you want to view something? Oh, i forgot, it's ok for YOU to spam THEM, but not ok for THEM to spam YOU (ok, so the first one is more of a "crapflood" but you get the idea)

    That's the thing - when NASA launches a rocket, they have a very high concern for safety. They take all of the precautions to make sure none of that happens. When Joe Shmoe launches his Linux based satellite, who knows if he even _thought_ about safety?

    The Christian religion was invented by the Romans as a way to perpetuate their empire once political and military might were no longer sufficient to hold it together.
    Ah, I see, and this is why Romans torturtured and killed every Christian they could find that wouldn't bow down and worship the emporer? This went on for MANY years until Constantine made it a legal religion.
    Later on it was made into the _official_ religion, and when the non-christians joined the church because it was the "socially correct" thing to do, bringing many of their pagan beliefs into the church, thus polluting it and giving birth to the beast known as the Roman Catholic Church.

    i read something a while ago about how before the moon landings, scientists calculated that how dust gathers on the moon (i don't remember exactly HOW it gets there, from small meteor/misc debris impacting most likely) that there would be several hundreds of feet of moon dust coverint the surface (accumulating from billions of years, etc, etc), but when they landed there, there was only an inch or so.

    alot of that is BS.it doesn't support partitions > 2GB? when? i've used linux since '97, back on a 3.5 gig partition. can't use hard drives > 32GB? :looks at 40gb hard drive:

    bash can run all your sh scripts, too. and i've had 256MB swap partitions. i didn't find anything about "facist sysadmins" in my su manpage.

    whats different with this than the "magnito optical" (or similar) that i've heard about years ago? It basically used a laser to heat up hte individual bits so the magnetic head could read/write there, allowing much more bits/sq inch without shrinking hte head any smaller than it already is.

    This was during a time where the Jewish church(?) was very corrupt, much like the roman catholic church of the middle ages ("We've found a witch, may we burn her?!?")

    Jesus then pointed out through logic their flawed interpertation of jewish law (the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath, etc. etc)
