    Yes of course, if we are speaking of cheapest. That doesn't mean there won't be faster and better available...I mean, right now portable storage is less that USD0.10/Gig - and dropping daily it seems. Anyway, not so simple a proposition as nothing new until 2020.

    hide dual boot - with doze as the default.

    Cost of light bulbs? How about the climbing up into the rafters to replace a bulb? How about having to search all over the house for a bulb when one (always unexpectedly) blows out? How about handling bulbs at all? Ever had one separate in your hand? have to get the needlenose to get the rest out? etc etc etc - now if i don't have to do any of that for 19 years!!! Yes!

    Yeah - I would say that it is hard to imagine any situation in the world of tech continuing for a decade. That is the problem. The narrowly focused (money money money) corporate world view doesn't allow them to see the obvious fact that things change fast in our world, and the old money grubbing ways (law suites, patents, copyright etc) are not necessarily the best ways now. Greed is so old fasioned.

    Try 64K! The first Mac had 64K in a sealed box that had to be cut open to add another 64K... 640K was the DOS limit, and the whole reason for Intel's EMS.

    The assumption is that the powers that be want to stop anything! I mean, just for example, do you have any idea how much un-reported, un-taxed cash the drug war inserts into the economy of the United States? How much dinero is laundered through the US Stock Exchange? What percentage of the total cash flow of Texas and Florida are due to the Drug War? Do you really think that those people care about Mexican poor folks? Look at what they have just done to US Poor! Oh well ... "Free Market Economy"

    No military rationale? The country that controls the moon controls the earth! Suppose some country places a dozen 100MT missiles on the moon. Who would dare to say no to that country? Combine that with the 1 Trillion USD military budget (most of which is secret) ... lack of funds ? pfftt

    The truth is that this is the end of the peaceful use of space.
