I realise its alpha:-) But its actually the first build that won't work in anyway at all for me. I'm actually including the nightly builds in that statment, its a big shame really as I like to test out new builds. Might give it another go later and see how I get on.
I've been using Mozilla 1.7rc1 for some time so I decided to install 1.8 Alpha, it short it sucks Installed without a issue but tried to start it and it just consumed 15MB ram and wouldn't start so rebooted XP and started it again, this time it loaded a webpage but wouldn't do anytiung else (m,enu's would not work etc) So I'm back to 1.7RC1 now:-(
If I had a user phone me and they kept asking the same question over and over I will terminate the call without a second thought They'll only get somewhere if I think they've actually being mistreated or have a valid reason, but if I say there PC is the problem they THERE PC IS THE PROBLEM
In my personal experience there are two types of Mac users in the world. - The people that know what there doing and can fix almost any os issue they run into - The people that don't have a feck'in clue, even if they lived on clue island.
In comparison windows users seem to be very different - Know what there doing and secure there box's to the last - Middle ground some stuff - Don't know how to install a program, find it hard to use basic windows functions such as closing down there pc etc - Those people that use windows but should be banned from using it because there a danger to themselfs
Yeah thats you! But the majority of people on dialup do not I deal with these people every day and I know what they do or do-not do Some users have never even heard of Windowsupdates and the majority of these users use WinXP followed by WinME and Win98SE
Dear god man, a suspected INLA bomber who had escaped from prison in N.Ireland is NOT the same as a person who lives in AU and has NEVER stepped foot in the USA a very flawed example indeed
It does still happen in XP alright, usually memory dumps I find when I'm dealing with customers. But generally speaking if you get a BSOD in 2K/XP its alot worse then Win9x;-)
No they don't support it anymore, any Netscape users left over were asked to move to AOL UK service. The UK call centers used to support it (Netscape On-Line UK)
It reminds me of the episode of the simpsons that it was in :-)
Agreed, most users are dumb as shite!
I have to deal with them everyday
"why can't I have a space in my e-mail address" or "I tried to access the website address user@domain.com and it did'ent work"
sigh...
yes, but its just called AOL UK, you'll never hear the words America On-Line UK
AOL UK and Apple have a deal to promote to DSL customers throuhg Keyword: itunes, where customers can download itunes :-)

'I am like the ice cream man, but with no music and I deliver free wireless access and not ice cream'."
So he is infact nothing like a ice cream man
Its abit costly no?
why not just get a nice Samsung 19" TFT for 650+ Euro (abit more in $'s) you can that patch a tv signal into this?
I'd personally rather keep them both seperate (tv and pc monitor).
My girlfriend does this type of thing all the time, it does my head in big time! :-(

Oh how I like this quote...
Interesting you reffer to Guantanomo Bay, the US is breaking international law with this little beauty so I wouldn't be very proud of it.
I'm happy to be european, atleast I know I'm more free then someone from the "land of the free"
Another example of people assuming that EVERYBODY lives in the USA or is under US law...
From Esat
:
the following pricing in Ireland is
Esat Residential 512K/256K Package (8GB Cap a month)
49.95 euro a month
Business 512K/256K Package
110 euro a month
Business 1MB/256K Package:
190 euro a month
I've managed to max out my 512K, think it works out at something like 220GB a month
similar thing happened to a guy in my school, except he got detention...
