Although, on most auto-x courses, you can mess up pretty bad and do nothing but mess yourself, stain the seat, knock over/shred some cones, and/or scratch/dent the car.
You can learn how easy it is to go out of control, and still survive. Hopefully learning an important lesson, otherwise why take the course?
You kind of contradicted yourself there. You said there are accounts of the bugs being imported. Just because its imported doesnt mean it wasnt there and didnt bite someone.
There are numerous insects that arent native that you can find small colonies of living for a few generations before they die off all over the world.
Polar bears arent native to southern Alaska, but that doesnt mean you wont find someone getting bitten by one in a major city.
My understanding of the issue is that the owners did receive 30 day notice, but did not inform the tenants. So the tenants are sitting there, knowing they payed the rent, minding thier own business, then comes a knock at the door. Suddenly they have 5min (or whatever the time allowed is up there) to gather what they can and vacate, with no warning whatsoever.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but thats how I understood it.

You forgot about the kitten torturing rooms and how they are required to give at least 5 old people the finger everyday.
We Americans will apologise to Canada for trying to steal all your good hockey players when you guys apologise for Celine Dion and Bryan Adams.
We would like to thank you, however, for Mike Meyers and The Kids In The Hall.
Also, after everyone apologises, will you help us out with the whole metric system thing? And show us the secret of how you keep your country so litter free?
I would guess that over half of the bugs are configuration related. I have an almost identical setup as the other guy (2.4ghz C2D, GF 8600GTS, 3 gb ram, Vista Home premium, except I use a 37in tv for a monitor, so its at 1280x720. I somtimes get stutters and framerate drops, but VATS is smooth as silk for me. I also have the exact oposite audio problem. I have a surround sound system hooked up, but whenever I set it to 5.1, it defaults back to 2.0. All my Steam games do this as well. So, similar setup, almost the exact oposite problems. Probably a config error on both of our parts.
I'd like to mention that I was first and foremost a concole gamer. Grew up with Atari and had at least one major system per generation within a month of launch (untill this generation). I also didnt have a pc untill 99, so to me, gaming meant consoles. Sure I watched and sometimes played pc games at friends houses (Doom in the dark with the pc hooked to a 1000watt stereo almost made us wet ourselves numerous times), but I was used to a controller, so kb+m controls felt like trying to write with the wrong hand.
But after I got my own pc and got used to the controls, it felt more natural. Anyways, coming from a console background, the main draw for pc gaminng for me was mods.
I guess I just wanted to point out to all the pc gaming naysayers that its not always a mass exodus to consoles. There are console gamers who are slowly getting used to the pc as a gaming platform as well as pc gamers who are playing more console games.
Sorry if that makes no sense and jumps around. insuficient coffee + multiple talking points = incoherant babble with multiple spelling errors.
I once heard a story about a six yr old who thought he could drive because he played GTA4... So I guess that yes, it probably wasnt a good thing for the child.
Anyone else remember the "cartoons and tv arent real" speach when you were kids? I think that is the main issue here. Not that the parents bought the game for the kid, but that they didnt teach the child that what happened in the game was fantasy and should never be tried in real life.
While you do have a point, you are already forgetting about the hundreds of miles of pipe with highly pressurized combustables flowing through it in Alaska that hasnt been attacked. Throwing a whole state, and many of the west's major oil companies in turmoil would seem to be a much better target than a few thousand yuppies on a train.
I just dont see the logic in the "Lets not build it because someone might want to blow it up" mindset. We already have plenty of huge targets that would be more disruptive to daily life if they were taken out.
I'm not sure exhibitionist means what you think it does. Sure, some users that have facebook, myspace etc, may in fact be exhibitionists. But most just have the page as an easy way to keep in touch with thier friends and aquaintances.
Also, just because you dont post stuff online doesnt mean you have privacy. If anyone cared enough, they could sit outside your house, document when you turn off all your lights, follow you to work in the morning, etc. If they really wanted to, they could also find out who your coworkers are and ask them questions about you. So if you've ever told an embarrassing story at work, told a coworker you got drunk the night before, etc, it isnt private.
Before you get upset, I do respect your right to privacy. I find your decision to not post personal information about yourself online to be a perfectly reasonable one. But that doesnt mean you have privacy, it just means you personally limit your information and the ease in which it is gathered, about certain things.
There is a new HD standard on the horizon. Unfortunately I cannot remember where I read this, but it was stated that they will probably roll out a new higher def standard around 2015.
Most new movies and even a lot of the older ones are shot at a resolution of 2000p or thereabouts.
I think of the router like say a home security system. If I request permission for a connection and it gives me one, it would be kind of the same as if I knocked on someones door and the security system opens the door and lets me in, whether the owner wanted it that way or not, thats how it was set up.
The problem with your analogy is that when your pc "asks" for permission, its more like knocking on the door. If it recieves no response, it quits and goes to the next "door".
Also, the taking the objects from the house would be akin to looking around his hdd, copying whatever files you wanted and deleting them afterwards. Not exactly the same as just connecting to the router and surfing the web.
Yes, sadly, people ARE that stupid. I work in retail electronics and most customers are unaware that you can hook up an HDTV to most modern pc's easily. I even have customers that know you can hook up an HDTV to a pc, but assume it has to have a monitor port on the back of the tv, so they disregard every other tv for ones that "can be used as a monitor". I'd be lucky to find 3 customers in a month that even knew what a dvi port was, much less if thier pc has one.
But honestly, the big advantage to this box is that most people dont keep thier pc anywhere near thier main viewing tv. Unlike most/. readers who would probably build a second (or 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc) pc to play media on thier tv.
But if they were aware of the fuel line problem (say it already killed 2 people due to a design flaw)) and they didnt recall/fix it, then they ARE aware of the problem and they ARE negligent.
Heh, I use my PC from bed too. I have noticed that when I am reading/typing something that requires more thought, I tend to sit up and lean towards the kb, instead of just typing with it on my lap.
But if someone at the FCC that isnt retarded (I know its a long shot) decides that that may be a good idea, then they may decide to implement that stipulation.
That was one of the most insightful posts I've ever read.
Now that you've mentioned the wrongness of the word "copyright", it has gotten me thinking. Its not even "copy"right, its more "distibution/resale"right, or more acuratly, distribution privaledge.

To add to that...
"Too fast for conditions" Conditions can mean:
Rain/water on road.
Ice.
Loose gravel.
Poor visability.
Driver distractions.
Driver impairment.
Driver over-estimating thier skill level.
Driver over-estimating thier cars abilities.
Traffic is heavy.
Its not speed that kills, its speed + idiocy.

They do make real life working models of concept cars. Usually the ones they are actually planning on producing.
OOoo, software analogy for cars...
Concept is like alpha stage, theres still a lot of work to be done and its not necisarily going to look anything like the finished product.
Pre-production is like beta stage. They've finalized a lot of things, but are still tweaking the ecu, suspension, etc.
And then you have the production model, which is like v1
You can, you just need a collectors licnese in the US, and/or have some really good contacts in the gun industry.

I would think he would get tossed out of court for showing his marbles...
Also, tone down the talk about oil, if DC hears about it, they may want to invade.
