I am almost 30 now, and my eyesight hasn't wanned but slightly in the last few years. I used to be able to see individual pine needles on a top tree branch 400 yds away. I was allways pointing out things I thought were "amazing" and it iritated people. Now I see closer to what my friends saw when I was 20 or so, and my 30 yo freinds think I am some sort of cyborg w/ super vision.
Security through obscurity works just fine. Just hide your pron in an encrypted rar file. Then change the extension to *.dll (obviosly changing the * to something worthwhile) Good luck sorting through the.dlls to ** ** "@#$# You're not MY son..." ** Mom? What the? How did you find that?
Using a software macro would defeat a keylogger, but would essentially give a place on the harddrive to "read" they key.. I say hide it in a series of legal free e-books. Make those Effers read 30 books to find the key!
Agreed, I never would have cared about UT if I didnt' first play Q2 all night long in Chrome Camo Mega-Man skin. Q2 brought me into the FPS genre, CS refined it, UT sealed the deal and now I play them all, and let god sort my frags.
Corporate OS from MS usually lags behind the consumer market. I would bet that Late 2008 wouldn't be that bad but 01/01/08 would be WAY too early.
I am kind of curious to see what the adoption rate is going to be. I for one have no reason to upgrade other than to support random people who have it. (Nobody right now) I may obtain a premium in July, but probably not.
I just can't recommend it to clients until application support is verified from the rest of the world. If just one thing doesn't work just right, I'll get phone calls till 2am from all sorts of folk.
Everyone knows bigger MHZ is still king. It's just scale. How much you can do with the given clock cycle. I think they meant that it is not practical to run a processor at 3x it's normal rating using Liquid N as a coolant. It's only useful for the duration of the Liquid N supply, and that is a small Finite amount of time. Secondly, they overclocked the CPU but not Ram(according to CPUV which showed the ram @ 533 mhz) So we have the old bottleneck situation again...
The real question here is "Does MC Lag during battle?"
I am not a huge programmer (or at all really). Why then do I then feel empowered to talk? No, not because I am a Karma Whore^tm...
I took 2 years of programming classes, and had only two teachers show me something useful. The first, Stephanie Bowe (awesome teacher) made relational database concepts very simple to understand. The second was never one of my programming teachers. He was my math teacher, Paul Smith (yes that's his real name. No he doesn't look like an agent. He looks like Einstein kinda..) One of the things he taught me was that you don't need to know all the ins and outs of a particular language, but you should learn concepts. Such as an Looping (if then else loop, for-next, do-while, do-until, etc...) Proper use of variables including scope, and arrays. Following a logical progression from Input to Output, etc... The funny thing was that made this come across in a way that was so simple. He made programming look like simple addition. He is a great man to talk to about anything really.
My programming logic class followed this pattern, but the teacher was incapable of engaging the class. I sat front and center, and learned more from the book than anything, and most of it was Visio designing using Mr. Smith's theories.
Interestingly (to me anyway) was that I found my logic class, Database concepts, and the conversations I had w/ Mr. Smith to be useful in my daily life. It really helped when mapping business process' current and future. It has also caused me to take a significant interest in logistics, and management.
I don't think the napkin idea is quite the same, but in another post, I explained how my workplace by an agreement can basically lay claim to anything we produce using their equiptment and or time.
I don't know how much of it is court proof, and I don't like it either, but clerical workers to IS, to HR all had to sign it
I think you kind of illustrated my point. God doesn't punish us right away, like our mother did. So we kind of "forget" that he is watching. It is not that we don't believe, it's just that we are not constantly made aware, nor has he reinforced his teaching (again in a way such as to make us aware of it)
Besides Character is not defined by what you do when you think Mom (or God) is watching, it's defined by what you do when she (he/she it) isn't.
Who was the underwriter? I bet they are rolling in the dough
You need to be +20 funny. Wholly sh!t. I just spit milk and cookies out of my script kiddie nose.
J/k about the script kiddie part.
"If everyone wasn't riding the DirectX cock"
I am going to use that at least 10 times today, just to make it stick!
hmm, I like the sound of that!
I love 2 strokes in dirtbikes. They just have soo much more oomph on the low end.
Got a link to that diesel?

Don't forget macros!

Wow what a following!
I remember Andrew spelled backwards!
My muscle memory still can get me there, but I don't remember it at all now. Awesome Amulet at the end too!
I loved Proving grounds of the Mad Overlord. I used to have all the mazes memorized!
Good Catch! I wasn't paying attention there!
If your a paid slashdot subscriber (I am not), you could search my comment history for solar, and find that I have been doing this for some time now.

I may not be correct here, but I believe that with most tax deductions B is the correct situation.
Reducing your taxable income, so that the ratio of what you paid to what you should have paid is larger in your favor.
Tax preparation software is deductable right?
I prefer to know things like that in test weight...
20,000,000 pound Test...
That salmon ain't 'gettin away now!
You know...
I have to agree with you ABSOLUTELY

That drug is on the rise. Future variations may well be a temporary chemical replacement for sleep.
Sorry pal, but I have to disagree w/ you. My house value is now >2x what it was 5 years ago. Gotta love it baby
Oh I know!
Hopefully, we shall see what UT2K7 does with that kind of stuff. I know I can't wait.
