You think we see TV on a rock or in a mirror? Next year were making transition to HDTV almost all SA is over it. 32" HD LCD it's around $450 USD a HTPC is around 300 USD. A 22" monitor HDMI is just 200 USD. until economic slowdown everybody was buying LCD's like fucking rice.
I ended up using this cable to connect my PC to my LAN, and soon realized I wasn't dealing with any ordinary Cat5 cable. I had seen the date and time change on my taskbar, which was quite odd, but timed with the use of this cable. I then noticed that various news and websites also showed this incorrect time and date. A few minutes had passed as I checked my cache, my router, and anything else I could think that would cause this odd behavior. Finally it dawned on me, the Denon AKDL1 was transmitting information faster then time itself! Amazing!
What is even more amazing, is that it appears to be accelerating. Yesterday (4/23 16:30hrs, when I posted this review) the time offset was about 24 hours, now the offset appears to be 36 hours, and increasing. Soon I'll be able to read news events from our distant future.
Anyway... I fully recommend this cable. $500 is a small investment to what your equity investments will look like in only a few months.
Oh, a few last things:
Somalian pirates turn out to actually be tied to Greenpeace Karl Rove goes on a rampage and kills 11, including himself</quote>
hehe you better get to know the shapes of your own fighters, because if one day is a Su-47 over NY you can perfectly call it a day.. The Day of Judgment (TM) (Coming Soon). No! Not because they will bomb you, but because it's a freaking weird (utterly-lovely-awesome-medrooling) shape. But yes, they should have warn you in the morning news or the night before as it happens even on my banana republic third world city when there's a drill planed or something like that.
Really what's the point? Testing public reaction to sudden imaginary danger? I'd be very angry. Think of the people with heart problems!
Lol someone had to say it.. Obrigado!:) But you should not be sad, after all leftist tend to love Linux anyway. Werenâ€(TM)t Brazil government systems moving to Fedora IIRC? Being left or right you still know that, as in the US, corporations rule here it's all just a parody.
A $75 console would be fine, everyone has the right to play games anyway, I consider myself middle class (or at least I like to live that way) but the cheap PS3 it's around $350 and Xbox 360 in $200... bang for the buck! I'd buy a PS3 it's just that I have not find any interesting games yet, it's that my fault by living on the third world or the SONY's fault for not helping developer to make more titles for the PS3? This whole trend for crippled software and hardware for the third world it's just funny, that stuff never succeeds here.
Yes you do, and you need a $500 ethernet cable with that, the version that have double arrow in the plug, the double-arrow-special-OP-500USD-ethernet-dominator. Now, get off my basement!
Hi Fellow American Concerned Citizen What you're talking about sounds too much just like a conspiracy theory and just because of that you know that everyone reading your post will say "OMG it can be truth but talking about it would make other people lose any credibility on me, better hush. Now, curse that damn Mexicans" Is that what you want? Huh? Sounds a little racist for me so stop wasting everyone's time and just gather somewhere with other people, go to a baseball park, or basketball arena, don't forget to breath very deep once you're there and if by any chance you see someone sneezing just go a kiss him/her! Why not? These are great times! Let's all enjoy our achievement bonus che.. eh your bonus points if you go without a jacket or coat.

I miss the Amarok from Kubuntu 8.04, if I ever start up a bar or some sort of club, Amarok in some semi vintage Thinkpad (Great DACs) would be my choice. It's the best music player to manage music files over a LAN, when you ask Amarok to get the CD covers Amarok delivers not like Winamp. Great piece of software it should be standalone and cross platform FGJ!
So you mean that a hundred well positioned regular men can take down all the United States business and commerce infrastructure just armed with handsaws or portable heat or laser cutters? Without blood, terror or fire? And that the flaw can't be really patched unless you rewire your stuff opening a shitload of holes for the outside and closing America from data from outside world in the mean time? And that the media can't effectively shove you TERROR because images of melted cables are not so terrorizing?
WTF is this times we are living in!?... oh yeah the end of times, guess it can't be helped after all.
Are you in third world? Have you seen any Windows Starter deployed here? Pretty much the standard is WinXP Pro sp2. Unless you buy a crap laptop from HP and you discover that your vista starter experience in 512 Mb of ram it's just an agony and go back to the reseller, curse him and demand that Win XP Sp2 is installed ASAP.
It's the same as the first Linux eeePC's here, most people just demanded to the reseller to install Win XP because the "new Windows is dumber" I had to listen to that yesterday and see the Linux partition blown away by the WinXP install. WinXP = P.C. as in personal computer.
People buying Win 7 in a netbook and getting frustrated with it is just going to upgrade to XP, it's sad that Asus could not make a decent distro for the eeePC, Canonical should talk with them SOON!
People in third world also get very pissed off when they discover that they have been buying a cripple version of something, what?! do we have less neurons? Or think the damn PC is some sort of magical god send apparatus? Way to go MS! Nobody here would buy crap when they can get the real deal for under $5 USD just outside the place you bought the PC. Lol you can just buy a beer to the pirate dude and get XP installed for "free" in a near coffee shop.
What do you mean? That Brazilian pirates can't be better pirates than any other pirates, lets say, in the first world? Thats subtle racism sir, if you remember correctly it was a brazilian hacker who created the worst PR crash for Creative and the vista drivers. AFAIK Guerrillas around use pirated satellite comunication to stay in touch deep in the jungle.. oh wait.
Wonder how many Quake 2 servers has the chinesse in the NSA servers, just for the lulz.

Well yes I admit you're right, sadly your promotion in the I.T. department is not related to the discussions on this board either.. I have yet to meet the boss that reads/. and looking at an Anon post says: "OMG Anon posted this insightful comment on/. I'm gonna take it out the layoff list, heck I'm going to give him a raise. Wheres this guy Anon I'm sure he works here"
Nor Ballmer after reading this will stand up and walk to the the balcony, with a glass of cognac in his hand, staring blankly at the city lights, thinking: "man, we have screwed so much the development of the Internet with this trident crap, think I'm going to payback those guys for all the time they've wasted". Then he smashes the glass of cognac in the wall and hug his pillow crying like a little girl saying "sorry guys, I'm so fucking sorry" weeping until he sleeps.
Nothing we've said is relevant to make the things change in real life maybe tips we can share so we can make this web development stuff less cumbersome. Well, as someone else said, maybe Cornficker is designed to nuke from orbit all versions of IE! One can only dreams.
Nah people don't mind having a drive with 80% fragmentation. Thats all I've seen on PC's with WGA bitching loudly every 15 minutes. Oh and you can't logon after some period of time.
I have to admit I was tempted and looked for the Expresion Studio product page, once there, any demo obviously require Silverlight. since I'm on the Linux machine and Silverlight will not touch the windows machine EVER. I clicked on the install and prompt me to the Moonlight page. I have to admit again that I was waiting for the "zomg you're using Linux what the hell are you doing here? chu chu" but no. I'm confused == Microsoft delivered. Bah I did not install Moonligh.
I'm not a big fan of Dreamweaver, I do most of my coding on Notepad++ or TopStyle and go retro and use Adobe GoLive to manage batch changes in links and files. But if Dreamweaver delivers what MS promises I'd try it.
Do you know what version of DW will bring this functionality? I don't test my webpages on the same machine I develop them, I have and "old" machine: Athlon XP 512Ram 1024x768 on 15" crt with IE from 5 to 7 Mozilla 2 and Safari xx. Flash v5 and Java 4 If I remember correctly. The page should work on that, thats my acid test.
It's naive to test the website on a wooping quadcore with huge ram and rather good video card @ 1900x1200 21", I have to think in my local demographics and not everybody have that kind of machine, I have to do this also because I do a lot of Flash (clients ask it can be helped, also I like it) and it's honest if you develop thinking not just in the render engine but taking care in not raping the CPU on the visitor. That said I do very minimal and friendly promotional websites.
Sigh I always roam this articles and see all kind of weird arguments for the render engines and most of you do not even care to make a page that takes a visitor and lead it to the buy. Visitor is not looking for standard compliance or pixel perfect display, nor the visitor is going to fire 3 different browsers just to decide if it's ok to trust in that company. The visitor is looking for something: they want to find it asap in a clean and friendly format, easy to read meaningful texts, images, animations or demos; then they will want to get in touch with you to close the deal or to know more. My pages close more deals in relation to the amount of visitors than any other that I've know working in design shops in the past. Thats because I think of the future visitor like a potential buyer/subscriber/vendor and not like that lazy ignorant scum using IE6 that doubles my workload.
You forget that you're doing an actual piece of marketing and not a technical dissertation about web standards. Try to make a 50/50 with both of them and everyone will be happy.
And I agree with you, I do that myself, I hand live Cd's to children and youngsters whenever I can, they are more open to try it that grown up that just fear that if they break the PC it would explode. When I find some client with the antivirus 2009 I told them that Mac and Linux does not have such virus, people tend to think that virus target the PC's (the iron) not the OS.
When I'm in advertising mode I visit my clients with my Linux laptop to show them whats that Linux stuff in which the web page would be hosted, they don't tell me but their faces say it all "oh wow theres other windowz"
Mouth to mouth advertising is the best and cheaper form of advertising. But you still need coherence if you happen to start to gain market share. You certainly will promote your distro of choice, I will promote mine. What is needed is promoting Linux as an idea, the idea of the power to choose. Well you need some kind of standard distro on standard hardware to start over, if they happen to like it(and are inclined to thinker with PC's) they can choose another distro ahead on time, if they are comfortable they will stay with the stuff that just works.
Ubuntu it's a great piece of n00b Linux and a good starting point; if you ask me all we need it's a BIG corp that ships compatible hardware and bundled Linux on a world scale. I wait for the day to see the sticker of the penguin out of the box: "Runs Linux" plug and play baby : )
