I've read somewhere that Shakespeare is the surname that Bacon used in literary works. That explains the insights that Shakespeare had with the ruling class and why theres so little info about "Shakespeare" in the crown registries.
yes yes wooosh and all but, looks like it's some kind of video production workstation, hence they need that sound card and that huge amount of ram, Wonder if there is a non linear video editing software that can use all that 16 cores.
I swear, someday, in the middle of the discussion about the launching of Win7 with a full brigade of astroturfers roaming the tubes and hordes of frantic penguins over the keyboards everyone and anyone in the mother of all battles in the saga of OS wars.. this will be the know as the new rick roll, you will be Kublbocked.
Does that PC has a nVidia video card and coincidentally you have a startup process called "nWiz" or "nView/Wizard"? NUKE IT FROM ORBIT! is not really needed if you don't use nView stuff, and took my boot time (Phenom 8650 2Gb XP) from 45s to 3 full minutes.
In the same machine Ubuntu is up in 30s dual boot and Kubuntu is up also in 30s on a VM, (a very minimal) slackware 12.2 is even faster than 30s. Win7 takes the full minute, sometimes more.
but what if they want to skull fuck you? skull fucking is a big problem for us TV consumers skull fucking is the very reason d' etre of newsgroups You will tell em: "stay out! newsgroups"? but no, they will bang you and skullfuck your brains out of you skull.
Well maybe I'll give HDMI a try, I don't plan to use any DRM media. And yes I used to think about DRM as a boogy man that some day, in the heavenly realms of Windows randomness, will go ape shit and mess everything for a day or two.
Your going to look pretty silling sitting there with your no-name brand 17" VGA monitor with a cheap 6-bit TN panel trying to convince people you are a "professional graphics designer"
Yeah I know those designers, personally I still use a Dell P1230 21" CTR with trinitron tube and glorious 2 VGA inputs because I trust more CRT's for desktop publishing. But since we're moving to Web Design I think, "well, most of the people use LCD's now to view the stuff I do" I'll give it a try as a main monitor. But whats your point anyway since there are other designers that look very cool even using something very poor for their jobs
Still the P1230 will go nowhere since I like to see the faces of customers when they can't believe theres such a big monitor, still working and with a so delightful image quality.
Working on a CRT this big it's tiresome and a waste of electricity, thats my other motivation to go after LCD.
For people that HAVE to use some sort of native Windows this may be good news.
I plan to buy a new LCD and I will choose something with DVI instead of HDMI just because DRM. As I don't have HDMI capable hardware I would like to kill DRM on my machine (don't watch TV so I don't have an HD TV either), If Win7 allow me that and after all the kids in their basements test the OS for hidden nasties and middle fingers from MS, I'll switch for Win7. I need 64bit addressable memory.
The year of ubuntu on the designer workstation?? *ubuntu 9.04 beta 4 64bit It's pretty pretty fast and stable.
Sorry but this have to be said. Such site would demand a very nice GUI, I know we all like that old feeling of the likes that Emacs and VI but average joe that goes to the site will just shiver. Seriously, the day Linux comunity start to care about interface, not as in compiz-overcare, more people would feel attracted.
Remember that you fight on the consumer level, for them to feel secure about Linux they are conditioned to look after Corporate Image. Sorry, it's the way it works.
Most of the people outside America does not care about the president of the united states really,is not trolling, is, as in reality. And it does not matter if he's black, white, a pixie or a badger because the only place in the world in which that kind of trivial details matters is America. Not that is bad, just that only You have enough free time to care for that.
Maybe if he rescue the Air Force 1 from evil turrurist or If he get on a F18 and kick the ass of some aliens, well It would get some attention.
You can't even imagine the bad PR that Hollywood and MTV does for you.
that 'e' thingie is an ubber operator in which you put the number for the internet you want being brought to you via the tubes, it's a fine piece of engineering so I beg you that you treat it with a little more respect, what? you don't need live search? you can dial you numbers on hand? hahaha good luck with that.
if you put a designer to choose between this baby or an MacBookPro 17" guess what.. Seriously, this kick ass almost for the same price.. a RAID and a Quadro FX WTF it's a tank. Can't see why a company launching a very targeted machine can be bad, But not just for designers, that little screen can be useful in games, to put the media players, rss readers, desklets, torrent client, all that little stuff that you run while doing actual work.
Maybe designers waste a lot in visual related gadgets because they work with their eyes (Yes, coders do use the eyes too, but is not an issue if the mono type font it's a little bit off the pantone right? or do color matching creates bugs in code or something?), having visual problems can really hinder your productivity being a designer and shortens your work "half-life" because nobody hires designers that because of shitty screens and bad illumination now can't really tell the difference between 5% increase in a given ink.
And yes designers crave/salivate/rape for good looking things, I blame the fact that they are designers, who would have think about it.
yes I know wooosh on me! FGJ!, but I was thinking in making a point also, the fact that at least 2 people think is interesting is because you can apply the same logic on to the music cartel.
Music? music nowadays S-U-C-K
But I'd pay for original track data (digitalized tape tracks onto multichanel FLAC's) It can be premium product, but they hire more lawyers than creative people.. because is not that music is something like "art", no sir.
What does one thing have to do with the other, as if just BAD DRUGS are the source of income for Cartels in general around everywhere. May it be Coffee? yeah there is a cartel there, you don't have to shoot someone to make damage because you can pay farmers a misery for their products (as in the Colombian cartel of coffee) so they will grow dope instead, dope that it's so friking hard to sell there as nobody want that shit.
Even if it's something non related, Juan Valdez and Mule SUED the guy And he apologized rather quickly.. srcsm/ I think he was just afraid of the mule/srcsm
So maybe now IT professionals and their high intake of Coffee, and also trendy snobs on starbucks are sponsoring drug production.
um hai, I'm from the 4chan's. Looks like you're trying to implement a meme. By this time yo shluld knaw that you need our seal of approval to do such thing.. brbr.... I've readeen the tread and after consulting with our Anon overlords we're giving you green light for your new meme, make us proud. Also FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU
one thing I've noticed recently is that the more Vista bashing there is, the more support the OS have among users. Even if I've just made a Vista joke in this same article, it's starting to have the opposite effect that the one is intended.
I've read somewhere that Shakespeare is the surname that Bacon used in literary works. That explains the insights that Shakespeare had with the ruling class and why theres so little info about "Shakespeare" in the crown registries.
So if I apply to a work into a server room I can get immune to that? really? OMG theres cure! where do I sign in?! Can I live there too?
yes yes wooosh and all but, looks like it's some kind of video production workstation, hence they need that sound card and that huge amount of ram, Wonder if there is a non linear video editing software that can use all that 16 cores.
Someone needs to edit his pr0n asap!

Phenoms also support virtualization: AMD-V

Hope Linus is taking note of this entire tread, too many too good ideas :)

In designerland, only old people print with the LPT port.
