I can imagine buying these dvd's over the internet. By the time the dvd arrives to Malta (3 days from the uk or a week from the usa), it will have self-destructed...
I did the LFS 2.4 version and then compiled X Windows one one machine plus I took the binaries to a second LFS machine and both are running X now. I'm trying to add GNOME to one of the machines.
I usually build it, export it and mount it from another PC which I boot with 'Tom's rescue disk'. Then I fdisk the PC and transfer the files. Then I setup lilo and it's ready to go with the lfs system.
It's not an automated method but it works fine for me. For another PC I made a CD-R with all the files and installed it pretty much the same way.
They won't reach earth. The whole mythology thing is out of the window now, thanks to that Star Trek hack. There's going to be no Caprica too. Ah, and they took the "chip in the brain which makes you see visions" concept from Farscape and stole it. Baltar is going to be getting the chip.
I'm not going to watch this trash, attempting to pass off as BSG. It's just trash television, no more. I've signed the petition to boycott this production (bsgboycot.cjb.net) and I urge you to do the same. I want to see a continuation with Richard Hatch, not this remake which is something like Sex and the city.
Microsoft's COM objects/.net/whatever mentions that this should not be a problem (because there is a versioning mechanism built in to allow things like multiple API's). So if they wanted they could be backwards compatible. It's just they think it's more profitable to force upgrades.
Not all machines can use USB floppies,if they are old machines and some of them are still being used. And not all school machines are equipped with a CD drive or zip disk (some are on purpose, it is said, to deter students from installing their own software etc - as if they couldn't download from the Internet).
As somebody said, you still need a floppy to install Win2000/XP with RAID drivers.
A CD-RW here costs around 6 times as much as a floppy, so I wouldn't call that nearly the same price. I'm in Europe, probably that's why.
A real problem with this is that the WMA files (as mentioned earlier) would *not* be CD quality definitely. So you'd buy an original CD with files which are not CD quality. That's what they call progress!
Reminds me of Species 8472 from Star Trek Voyager
Ogg Vorbis sounds better than mp3 to me every day,
with my stereo's speakers.
My favourite encoder for making ogg vorbis files is
BeSweet

How will these things be exported out of the usa?
Which cars are equipped with this device?
Is it just the ones with airbags?
The HP inkjet I have was priced more than the Canon you mention, probably due to duty/vat etc..

Interesting... I know that Redhat 8 has a terminal in one of the latter menu options. Perhaps you missed it?
I remember installing SCO on a machine once.
It did not come with a compiler. No precompiled gcc binaries were available for SCO.
Even the local agent for SCO did not have a C compiler for sale.
It was a useless slow Operating system. It got wiped out from the machine eventually as it was just sitting pretty.
Pinto was a Grandmaster of the Knights of Malta...
You are right - your post should be modded up in fact.
This was part of Microsoft's COM protocol after all.

CD quality does not mean it has to be from a CD!
How do you use this with Phoenix (stripped down version of Mozilla)?
I managed to get Virtualdub to run but it did not work correctly. Hope they fix this. I hope they get some applications like Tmpgenc to work too.

I would stop watching trek if it abandons the attempts to resolve things peacefully.
You know, these codecs have other uses besides piracy. Some of us convert our DV camcorder footage into xvid or divx for instance!
Please mod this parent post up... Xvid is much better than divx

Actually in Europe with DVB-S we do have 16/9 - widescreen also...
DS9 is my favourite trek also because it wasn't
shy to talk about religion and faith in a positive way.
The characters were developed properly, I might add.
GForge happens to be also a graphics utility. Oh well :)
