Exactly, there is no magic. Octane is Octane, Sugar is Sugar. The difference is everything else in the diet.

See there you go with that magic stuff again. Fructose is Fructose no matter where it came from. Here is a quote from a recent study to help back me up:
But even when weight was factored out, women who drank lots of fruit juice still had an elevated risk—a higher risk even than the soda drinkers. Possible reason: Empty calories don’t satisfy, even while they wreak havoc with blood sugar.

There is no Magic. The amount of sugar, be it sucrose, fructose or glucose of dextrose in the average North American Diet is a major problem, but processed of not; fructose is fructose, sucrose is sucrose etc, the chemical does not change, nor does your bodies reaction to it.
You might have missed the "Work on nutrition, health, and lifestyle" section. He seems to be waging an over the top battle with sugar. Though I don't think many would consider him a sane authority on it.
I wasn't trying to say lost productivity always the end users fault.
You sound like a prime candidate for needing more hardware. Sadly rules are often made for the average population, forgetting that an average population is made up of individuals, not all of them average.
New computers are great but work habits can increase the productivity of a tool also. I keep seeing people complain about the speed of email then go over and see 100 email windows open. Or someone will have movies running in the background and complain that Excel is slow. So do you throw more hardware at the problem, close unneeded programs or learn better work habits?
We invented headlights a long time ago, for just this reason (so we can see in front of the car in the dark). I can see getting lost, coming to the end of a pier thinking it is a bridge or some such, but not driving off the end of a pier into the water, that's just stupidity..
That and MySQL can be used with little or no knowledge other than how to write basic sql statements. PostgreSQL expects just a little bit more, more than many web "experts" have.
The courts are ok with:
"If you want to drive a car you need car insurance".
They still have issues with: "if you want to live you need to buy life insurance".
It seems to be the authors heirs that have the problem with this, not the authors. I think you are right, I'm sure these authors would enjoy having their 50 some odd year old orphaned works read again.
I believe that would be Euclid’s Elements. A copy of which seems to be listed (lot 11) with an estimate of $4-600, I'm guessing that is not an original.
Ewww. I didn't want to know that.

How long have you been waiting to say that?
All of Japan is 100 VAC.
Oh my. That's funny. Politically incorrect as it is.
Let me get off the pole before you take the angle grinder to it. Thanks.
The last sentence above will provide your answer.
Where oh where are my mod points?

Planning ahead: If Oracle does something evil: a. stop upgrading. b. either fork and modify or support someone who does.
That sounds too easy to work, but I like it.

Washington is under 500 feet of shit, does that count?
That's not as fun as random uninformed speculation.
