    RSX-11M was multi user multi tasking real time and ran in 64 Kb of ram along with a major application. It actually did support 128Kb via bank switching and I had 3 ea. RKO7, 28 MB hard drives with dual 14" platters. still think it was the best OS I ever used.

    They can say "You will be search upon leaving" all they want but it doesn't make it legal. It is your property in that bag and detaining you is false arrest at best, kidnap at worst. I almost shopped at that store last Saturday but decided to go a block further to BB instead. Just as well, the confrontation would have been less pleasant since Ohio is a concealed carry state and I will defend myself.

    It's probably too late to add to this but WTF. If MADD were sincerely interested in making the roads safer they would wait outside bars and follow drunk drivers home with a flashing warning light on top to alert the other drivers. Or they would offer them rides home. All MADD wants to do is exact revenge for their lost loved one on and they don't care on who. As soon as they get a state to adopt 0.08% they begin to push for 0.05%. Where do you think they go from there? They are prohibitionist, plane and simple.

    Cops are definately not cowards. You can say they abuse their powers at times, but I think it takes alot of balls to be dealing with criminals on a constant basis. I don't know if you ever been shot at before, but putting yourself in the line of fire is not a cowardly action.

    I don't know any Libertarian that would agree with that. Having a monopoly on initiating violence is the root of authoritarianism. Maybe national defense, but that is obviously dangerous too. More likely, a national registry of dispute resolution if anything at all.

    I do pretty much the same thing, except with 4 machines and a KVM switch. One box rips, another burns, third downloads,leaving one to surf or compile or whatever. My Large (sorta) Array of Very Cheep (or crap) Machines. LAVCM, maybe it will catch on. Boxes are probably worth $200, maybe 3. You can run VNC and skip the KVM.
