Actually if I recall correctly Konquerer isn't either of those. In fact, it is just a holder for Kparts. In turn, there happens to a be a Kpart for file management and one for HTML rendering (KHTML in this case). So...konquerer can also be a music player (there is a Kpart for that), an RSS reader (again...another Kpart)...
So, konquerer really can be anything you want. So this isn't the best example.
Why in the world are they trying to compare a full blown PVR/Media Center (Windows Media Center) to a computer with a remote (Mac Mini)? Don't get me wrong, the Mini is a cool device and it it had PVR abilities I would happily buy one, but it doesn't. For the most part these are very different devices.
Yeah, people that just go buy HDTV's, new consoles and lots of games with their extra cash falling from their pockets are defintily the norm...that is the "mainstream" market they are going for...
Zelda almost stopped me from getting married. I own a lovely first edition Gold Cart of Ocarina of Time (you know, the one with blood and Muslim chants). In college my now wife (then barely a friend) kidnapped it because my room mate (their good friend) was playing it too much. I thought someone had stole it. Once I found out it was them I was pissed. They had my baby. So...my (now wifes) first real impression of me was that I was some video game luvin' jerk.
Why she married me I will never know:)
I still have that cart...and she knows not to touch it...
I have just started working on WiKiPooP.com. This is a colabrative site where people can help each other figure out how to poop. Anyone can edit anyone elses poop to make it more accurate and to the point. This just goes to show that the WiKi is the future of allt hings!.
These might seem crazy to some people, but I have had two experiences where my "boycott all Sony products" actually required action.
1) I needed DVC tapes for my Canon DV Cam. I went to Walmart (closest option) and asked if they had DV tapes...they only had Sony tapes. I asked if they had any others and the sales rep said "these will work with any DV Cam". I simply told him I wouldn't buy any Sony products and walked away. He had a wierd look on his face about me...but I drove a few blocks and bought some non-Sony DV Tapes.
2) I needed batteries (4 C size) for my daugthers little crib music maker. I went to the gas station and they only had Sony batteries. I told them I would taking my business to another gas station. Again...odd look. I think I need a little flyer I can hand to people as I walk away...
If you are looking for a place to find people who play Animal Crossing online I recommend WiTendoFi.com. They have tools for sharing information in AC that are rather cool (like Turnip Watch).
My father gave me his old Epson Equality II+ 8088 when I was in second grade. I learned MS-DOS 3 and GW-BASIC on that bad boy. I even play with PASCAL on that sucker. It finally wasn't enough for me, so I opened it up having no clue what anything was and stabbed a part that looked important to me (with my compass). It definitly made the machine not work, it just turned on and then blinked...
Years later I now know I stabbed the IDE cable multiple times:) It just couldn't find that uber huge 20MB Hard Drive it had...
But, fear not. My dad gave me his 486SX33 then...Windows 3.1, I felt like the king!
I am posting this from a Dell Inspiron 9400 (core duo at 1.83ghz). If Vista doesn't fly on this laptop then MS has done something wrong, not the hardware boys.
I have a new Dell laptop with the following: 1.83ghz Core Duo cpu 1GB RAM 256MB Geforce 7800go GPU
I am VERY happy with the GPU's performance in everything I throw at it. I currently have a Geforce 6600GT in my desktop and might consider upgrading to a card like that after using this laptop. Does anyone know how the performance of the Go parts compares to these?
I have a Athlon XP-2100 as a CPU at home for reference.
I have a dual tuner PVR (Dish Network 522) and am really happy with it. I have yet to run into an issue where I want to record three programs at once. Do I just not watch enough TV or do these people watch WAY to much?
I have two different sites that I use Google Analytics to track traffic on. They target very different people and the results returned are very different.
Site #1 is WiTendoFi.com
It is a gaming site about finding other Nintendo players online.
1) Firefox 75%
2) IE 16%
3) The rest:)
Site #2 is CSpost.com (I work for them)
It is a web based store for a lot of housewares and such.
1) IE 75%
2) Firefox 11%
3) The rest:)
The difference is of course huge, but that 11% is up from around 7-8% last year...
Well, my DSL contract ends in May...here I come Nex-Tech.
I, as should everyone, will speak to them with my wallet. They have lost my local, long distance and data services.
+ a manager? Really?
Three senteces that were worth more than all the other combined :)

I suddenly feel like such a little geek compared to you...
Resident Evil 4 was a third person action/horror adventure game, not an FPS...
"Nothing to see here, please move along".

Your comment hung up my modem!!!

This problem is present on your little Pentium M laptop's also. So, sorry, this problem has been around and known about for over six months.

Vin Diesel might think otherwise....
I got it last Thursday. The original ship date was 2/18/2005, but it shipped well before then. I do rather like it, the 17" display is just beautiful.

They are already out
Nvidia has always been good about getting Linux drivers out for desktop parts.
Oh, I thought it was the people that made plastic spoons and crap...
