Only the asstounding logic of a/. reader could come up with your brilliant analysis. My favorite statement you make is "while games sit on the shelves untouched because nobody can play them is sheer incompetence". What of the 6 million people that already own Wii's? Are we not allowed to buy games for some reason? Also, each week the # of Wii owners increases more and more there by make more and more software sales.
It is your good friends at Sony that have issues with software just sitting on a shelf. Or are they succeeding because because I could go buy one right now?
There is no need? What about the monetary need? Google doesn't really care who you are, but they do care about what you are looking for. The more they know about what you are looking for the better their AdSense program can do. The better it does, the more money they make.
As for your whole you "we have privacy" bit, sure you do. In your own home while using your stuff. The moment you sent your request out over the internet in plain text to a third party (that is a corporation out to make money you know) you lost that.
I work for a small/medium size business with around 167 employees. We have locations in Plainville KS, Hays KS, Chicago IL, Pasadena CA, and New York City NY. We use Samba for network file shares in all these locations. It works great in a mixed Linux, WinXP, Mac OS X environment. We haven't ever had any issues with it what so ever.
While this might seem odd, the Dish Network DVR-622 satellite DVR has an OTA tuner in it as well. I have one hooked up to my 32" Toshiba LCD and love it. You get lots of HD from Dish (20+ channels) and your OTA, and it is all managed by one device.
I am still trying to get a hold of someone at Senator Brownback's office that can answer my questions about his new "Truth in Video Game Ratings" act. Everyone should feel free to give his office a call: http://brownback.senate.gov/
I think it is great that they support 1080p for the few that might be able to take advantage of it, but the issue for both the PS3 and Xbox360 in this arena is that most people just can't take advantage of it. In fact, pretty much all HDTV owners can't. The vast majority of HDTV's on the market right now are 32" and smaller. Most of these sets are 720p sets.
Did you seriously just recommend Super Monkey Ball:BB to people? Of the 50 mini games in that title about 3 are playable...and you can only play Simon Says so many times. I love my Wii, but I hate that game.
All they have to do is cut the price in half and get more good games out. Lets see, if we use our friend history the PS2 took nearly four years to get to half price. So as we close in on 2011 the PS3 should hit that $300 price point he claims is needed. People just need to realize that this is an expensive piece of electronics and Sony can't cut the price to that point anytime soon. They will need something else to win.
As Popular Mechanic already pointed out this is the TV's fault. Westinghouse isn't responding the the HDCP handshake fast enough (as defined by the HDCP spec). If you call Westinghouse they will even send out a tech to update your firmware to fix it.
Before you get that tech out to fix it, the DVI convert will work well, or Component cables, or the hack-o-the-week of unplug the HDMI cable.
As sad as this is...the patent is coming from a Mister Gang Wang...you just have to love that!

Let me put in my zip code please. I don't care about the weather 200 miles away from me!
on the Nintendo DS. Seriously, congrats PSP, you can run a worse looking version of a game that runs on the DS.
Or just use WiTendoFi.com. They worked great for the DS and now they have Wii System Code support too. In fact, you can see my card here:
mywifitag.com/gweedo767
That is a lot easier to remember than coming up with that crap.
Composite...the NES had support for Composite video output.

Yup...that feels just like Photoshop!
Well, that did backfire on you didn't it. All you got was +1 Funnies which don't help your karma at all!

PS3 prices on eBay died by Nov 19th. It only took 2-3 days for them to hit retail on eBay.
This coming from the same company that owes me $9,600 for all the PS3's at my local walmart! source
But an AC can still be heard here, if you mutt them, they are completely gone :)
and this is a non-associate link

You gotta love that they list the ISS as a piece of Space Junk in their "Interactive Graphic".

Naw, they used the integrated video and lost all Aero Glass features :(
Ah, but with this comment Karma comes full circle and you end up with a karma boost! See, it works!
Sounds like they are doing a great job of sucking you dry. Maybe YOU should do something about it other than gripping on /.?
Atleast include a video :)
