A safe would be a good investment, most are fire proof which is important too.
A safe that is "fire proof" for paper (< 451 F) is not "fire proof" for your backups - you need a data/media safe, which are significantly more expensive.
The West Valley plant was deserted by its owners in 1972, leaving 600,000 gallons of high-level liquid waste and 30,000 gallons of radioactive sludge as a legacy to the State of New York.
With a 2014 start date, a 40 year reactor life and a 20 year decommisioning phase, the South Texas reactor site could be subject to 5 meters of sea level rise
Forget core meltdown - if the sea rises 5 metres, we're all f*cked.
You'd think Microsoft would have known that a social networking site comprised mainly of college students would feature at least a few obscenities and outspoken and unpopular opinions.
I would imagine a "F*ck Microsoft" group would be exceedingly popular, or has that been censored already?
B-52s are not cargo aircraft; claiming that they were just moving them is as silly as using F-15s to ferry AMRAAM missiles between bases. If you want to preposition weapons, you use transport aircraft - not hardpoints.
On August 30, 2007 six ACMs loaded on a B-52 were flown across the United States from Minot Air Force Base, N.D, to Barksdale Air Force Base, La in order to be decommissioned. However the nuclear warheads which should have been removed before the flight were mistakenly left installed. For three and a half hours, the nuclear weapons were unaccounted for, which has lead to an investigation of the incident.
Why hang five/six of them on a B-52 when you can shove a dozen of them in a C-130 Herc.?
The Wikipedia article says that both theft and loss are referred to as "Empty Quiver".
"Broken Arrow" is the "accidental event that involves nuclear weapons or nuclear components but which does not create the risk of nuclear war". e.g. Jettisoning a nuclear weapon (which is not the same as losing one.)
Current legal calibration requirements for EU (and AFAIK USA) are +0%/-7% (note the big fat zero for the + error).
In Australia (ADR18/03), it's 0 <= (V1 - V2) <= 0.1 V2 + 4 km/h (where V1 is indicated speed, and V2 is true speed.)
Previously (ADR18/02) it was +/- 10%, but presumably that changed due to complaints about speeding tickets when travelling at the posted limit. This doesn't solve the problem with older vehicles, though.
"Ve are above ze law!" *throws chair*
Won't someone think of The The, you insensitive clod.
What's holding up yours?
Planning department red tape.

Debian is considered the stable distribution.
The way it was explained to me, Debian is the stale distribution.

Seriously dude, it's a veterinary clinic?
It may also explain why Bush wants to go to Mars so bad...

Simpler bypass: launch from land in a country not bound by the 1967 Outer Space Treaty.
They also "stop" X feet from the handle. What's up with that?
In particular, NASA said SiC applications will include energy storage, renewable energy, nuclear power, and electrical drives.
Yeah right. Everyone knows these are just government funding cover stories for the true purpose: extreme overclocking.

Was he wearing a red and white striped shirt and beanie?
In Quantum Physics, the box may - or may not - also contain a cat.

How could it be worse? Jehovah, Jehovah, Jehovah!
Right, who flew that?!
Cancel / Allow ?
Don't you mean "Yes / Yes, with comments"?
... = mud. You might have thought Glastonbury was muddy, but that's just peanuts to space...
Seriously, this might solve how a disc of cigarette smoke-sized particles can condense to form planetesimals, and thus planets.
