Not only that, it seems Facebook itself has also become a verb.

Pokemon Gold/Silver's remakes: Now those are what many are anticipating.

With good cause too. I'm looking forward to seeing the improvements.

Not easy to build that into a modern game, is it?

And don't forget you can always resell the game[s] for some recoupment.

Not that collectors and such would want to, right?

Funny or not, I can seriously see this happening.

Maybe not a fire, but some other dangerous situation.

You hardly want a ball and chain attached when it happens.

  6. Speed runs, sequence breaking, etc on The Best Achievements · · Score: 5, Informative

Great fun to watch and to do. Although these usuall aren't "official achievements", as they tend to exploit the game in some way or another.

A good classic example: Super Metroid

I really wonder how she felt when a few years ago, Pluto was declassified as a planet. Oddly surreal.

I think all but the most deluded people know that when you commit a crime and get caught, you don't go to jail for all of 8 seconds.

Likewise, get shot, and you die, not head to the hospital for a few seconds.

Oddly enough, a camera bundled with a phone has become from high class to commonplace within a few years.

But the cams are still pretty low quality, as you'd expect when you multitask.

Only in TNG did Klingons get a sense of honour and what not.

In TOS, they were thinly veiled Mongol types.

Taking the comic books example. Sure you can find scans of many manga/comics online [defying copyright laws of course] if you look.

But there's nothing like owning something real. Same with games.

  14. Here's on The Making of the PlayStation · · Score: 0

In a few months, it'll be 14 years since the release of the first console.

Quite a milestone I say. And that's why it's remained my preferred console for collecting.

  16. Netbooks on "Good Enough" Computers Are the Future · · Score: 1

Even now, the low end, cheaper netbooks [often with no CD drive or even hard drive] are very popular.

A lot of people like to use them as a smaller, less costly replacement or addition to a full blown laptop.
