    Looks fake to me. The screenshots on the article's websites show the cars on the exactly same positions, so it's obviously the same square, photoshopped.

    That makes me angry. They go through all the trouble of handing out yellow capes to hundreds of people. They tell them where to stand, and they probably have to wait there for quite a time while the satellite passes over. They have to block traffic, and business, etc. Then some humourless drone down at Google goes and photoshops all that work away. It was probably done by the same sourpuss person who got rid of the "Swim across the Atlantic" instruction you used to get when asking for directions from New York to London, England.

    I think you have missed the point. Google is not the one doing the photoshopping here, the people claming to have done this are.

    We could also just send Sarah Palin over to Russia and ask them nicely to stop. After all, she can see it from her house, she already said she would cross a sovereign nations' borders without permission if necessary, and apparently she's ready to engage on foreign policy and relations.

    If America were interested in civilization, we'd be a Commonwealth State and not the United States (with Virginia and Connecticut being Commonwealths in and of themselves).

    The commonwealth of Massachusetts would like to point out that they are a commonwealth too.

    That was my point exactly, do the cows in the southern hemisphere look south. How about different times of day/season. Frankly I think that the coriolis effect has more to do with this than magnetic north. :P

    kind of funny how everyone assumes paid for == good. My assumption is paid for == not one bit better than free, if free is good enough. Well, I say let the market decide, if you can justify using a paid for tool, and prove that it is worth the investment then good for you. if not, then they will go out of business.

    Why is that a tragedy? Better may not be worth the bucks. If something is free and more than good enough, I don't want to pay a lot for a button I push twice a year...... I always knew ClearCase was better than cvs or svn but I'll be damned before I pay 50K a seat for that. (that's what it cost back in 1999 time frame).

    I totally agree

    Internet Explorer is simply the best tool ever (for downloading Firefox) i wouldn't even think of using anything else

    except maybe an older version of firefox.... which makes IE pointless.........
