ofcourse, but M-theory still seems a bit fantastic to me to say the least... i can visualize more or less the concept of strings but colliding universes bubbling about giving birth to big bangs... that's just to make the picture fit the frame, it's wild guessing. Then again, 1950s sci-fi seems to be the matter of the quantum and the astro now:-)
yea, the catholics, the islam, the jews and any other sect i can think off should all get together in one country and bunk it out there, would give the rest of us time to attend to more serious matters like getting out of here before the whole place goes to hell.... O ! and maybe we want to send Michael Lynton there as well, after all he also preaches a dying religion from the past
of the habit by breaking up, losing everything , having to work it out on my own, doing a few months of time after losing absolutely everything again and when i played it again for the first time, realising that nothing had changed after 4 years and it gets boring after a few hours now
The law has been passed in France after european govt voted 90% against. I didnt even know it was a threat in America too.
Any action taken without due process is against every fundamental principle of every country that dares call itself democratic.
Besides, in this day and age free flow of (uncensored) information is as important as free speech itself. I think it is fucking scary that a proposition like that can even MAKE it to the top of the governments.
the guy has never seen slashdot
Cant be that much of a problem, ten to twenty years from now, people like that will be almost extinct. Anyone opposed to the net as is, is obviously a dictatorial megalomaniac who has every interest in keeping the mass of humanity stupid and ignorant.
And more... the godmother of mmo's was a bloody Sony product. I don't know if anyone remembers it but there was a life before WoW, and it was called Everquest, by SOE
this guy must be very confused indeed
Just look around you, if you see the wonders and the mysteries of the universe. How can you possibly need a god to believe in? Is the universe itself not enough of a mystery. How can you think about this godlike human figure ?? And more, the religion you talk about is barely 2000 years old ?? Where was your god before that? Did it choose not to reveal itself until some hippie got nailed to a piece of wood?
You do ofcourse have the right to your opinion but it saddens me and it worries me that intelligent people even in these days feel the need to put a human face on the mysteries we can't explain. It's self-centerd and (imo) stupid and shortsighted. We created god in our own image and not the other way around.
And finally, if there is some kind of single supreme being, i'm pretty much convinced that it must really hate us or else it has a real nasty sense of humour .
this makes a lot of sense
as to why she's suing Google instead of the small company ? I guess it's more fashionable and you get more airtime for your company, which also counts as advertising, by going after the big fish. In this case, Google
send it all around the net since privacy does not really apply to an institution that's supposed to have an open policy and if you're afraid of hosting it send it to me, i'l put it up and you can just link to it
and let me disagree... having no money to do it right is pretty much a lame excuse in the eyes of customers.
Any which way you look at it. Bad Karma for Avsim and rep to the hacker
he can't do it without parliament obviously but it is quite clearthat he has great influence, hence the nickname president-king. I mean, don't you think it was likely, also for Bush, that they are the people who have the most possibilities to help 'their own' lobby to places in parliament/congress, whatever its called.
Has he done it to help his wife's career? How unlikely is it that it's just a coincidence that France is the only country going against the will of the european parliament? (they voted against with 88pct of the votes, that's a pretty clear decision)while the president of France IS married to a 'pop'star celeb. Since i'm never present in mr Sarkozys bedroom i can ofcourse not prove it but i sincerely believe that these two facts are definitely connected.
But the thing is, what troubles me, and a lot of Europeans, is that this means, that the will of the European parliament means nothing at all. Not if a member state can just choose not to follow the European rules. Therefore it must be that Europe IS nothing, just a collection of words on paper, and a real good moneymaking machine for the European government.
Since i live in a country that has about the same amount of inhabitants as New York but also has to put up (and PAY FOR) five different governments (since we were created historically as a bufferzone between France and the Netherlands) it worries me deeply to see that the European govt is just the sixth one to pay taxes too, and they have no real authority.
I hope this clarifies my view a bit and might i just add that i'm starting to have (just a little) hope for you ppl in America with Obama now. He is ofcourse also a politician but he does seem to do some repairs to the legacy of Bush
or at least very unlikely that any national institution would cry out for help like this, meanwhile disguising the fact that they just want more money ???
Yea, it would be like the king-president of Frances wife who can't get her singing career off the ground. But she's unable to see her own suckness so she blames it on the internet... and convinces her husband, who happens to be the king-president of France, Sarkozy 'louis' XiV, to press a law thru parliament so everyone caught downloading no more than three mp3s can be banned from internet access for over a year. Without court orders, just like that.
and with these words, Bing was moved to the realm of wannabings and the extinct

The guy doesn't seem totally stupid even if his boasts about creating four days seem as far fetched as the God he's condemning lol
second that, wikipedia is not a government and can choose to ban anyone from their 'private grounds'
nonono, send them to me and be saved by jesus, allah, buddha, krishna, AND Barack Obama
and let Darwin sort 'em out xD

yea, the most innovative stuff out there is still the one with low budget or no budget, who's up for a good old hanging of the heretic ?

how does this affect my linux desktop ?
to vote on every law and not on parties that put their own people in place who vote on laws without you having any say in the matter ?
i can detect idiots in a 10 ft. radius, ... that's what too much ad&d will do to you i suppose

brilliant indeed ... so ... if this guy can solve piracy, why not let him have a go at crime, poverty and unemployment while he's at it ?
is the way to go ... i think i saw a copy of Sims 3 floating around already and its due to be released two weeks from now
