Why you are debating a completely off topic thing is beyond me if you really want to prove me wrong. Just looking for things in peoples posts to call out and attempt to prove wrong is what I would call a troll, but here is a pretty good explanation of why I don't think Jobs is giving hardly anything. why would one put their name to political contributions and not put their name to charitable ones. I mean the better one to put your name to would be the charitable ones, that is unless you have some hidden agenda with the political contributions, which by all means with this article might be possible. He gets millions from his stock options with Apple and the man is worth around 4.4 billion. Apple also pays for the use of his private jet which is around 800,000 dollars a year. His salary is $1 yes, but he gets the money from other sources.
Well usually, Linux is a very fast operating system, where or not this translate to the phone GNU/Linux I don't know. One thing that will be nice is that since it is Linux and open-source, theoretically you could have a free app store and not have to pay the 3.99 you pay for a lot of iPhone apps. The terminal emulator could be extremely useful for IT people in that theoretically you could trouble shoot boxes straight from your phone if you have a wireless connection and install VPN onto the phone so that you could VPN tunnel into your network through a firewall and trouble should Unix boxes.
You are ripping on me because I don't don't give as much as Jobs? I'm not a CEO who makes millions of dollars, so you are right. And I ripped on Jobs and Gates, both were cut throat CEOs who screwed a lot of people over. I was bringing to notice that Jobs hasn't gotten as bad as a rep as Gates has gotten. Jobs is viewed as cool and hip even though he has screwed over so many and has appeared to taken part in some illegal activities along the way. And I am not a PC person or a Mac person, though I do own one of each. I primarily run Centos at home and Red Hat at work, so I am pretty neutral on that front. I'm ripping on Jobs more for being extremely arrogant, for thinking he could get away with something like this.

I agree that the blog would be put in the realm of free speech. I mean everyone is entitled to their opinion of other people. If this case were to go through and win it would set the precedent that you could sue anyone who has a bad opinion about you for defamation. I mean the KKK's website insults anyone who isn't a white redneck. (whoops the KKK can now sue me for defamation). Why the judge is even allowing this is beyond me.
No company in their right mind would pay 18 million for a website. There are many many websites that get more page views are were made for much less. To consider that website a success is a joke.
I feel that Star Trek and Terminator were both better Science Fiction movies than District 9. Overall, I feel the acting was much better in the Star Trek and Terminator. The fact that the Trek fans hate it because it goes against the Prime Objective and this and that is irrelevant. It was still a great movie if you are completely unbiased about it. As for the best movie of the year, The Hurt Locker was a better movie in my opinion, the acting, plot and filming were all done perfectly in it. It was probably one of the top three recent war movies made with Private Ryan and Letters from Iwo Jima
It is funny, Apple's previous marketing plan had also been to be the hip brand to the money hungry Microsoft. It seems Apple has become worse than Microsoft.
Completely agreed, it is kind of like a thief breaking into your house in the middle of the night and leaving a check for all the stuff they took. Or if Microsoft took Office off of your computer in the middle of the night, leaving you the money you paid for it. But now you have all of these documents that you can not open or edit making them useless much like his notes he took. He has a valid point, I actually thought this might happen when I heard what Amazon did. I know I would have at least attempted it.

This all sounds like a scam by Apple to prevent users from jailbreaking their devices, I mean it just coincidentally comes out the same time the Copyright Office is considering this request.
