I remember reading somewhere that people who can't feel pain, generally don't live past their 20's. Something almost always ends up killing them without them knowing.
I only hope that something can be finalized before I go completely blind. I was diagnosed with MD when I turned 30.
I'm 32 now, and my vision has worsened quite noticeably in the last 3 years alone.
It's funny - every time I think that our country (US) is ass-backwards and overly-conservative, out comes shit like this and proves me wrong. Go banana!
Try $0 for both PSP and DS. Once broken, both of those systems have abilities that far outshine their intended uses. Granted, same is true for a jailbroken iPhone, but the PSP and DS homebrew front makes the iPod/iPhone's pale in comparison.
Before I switched to Natural Keyboard, I started to lose feeling in my pinky and ring finger. After switching to the Natural Keyboard (and yes, it is quite awkward, initially), I'm back to abusing my body for the cheap thrill of hacking. It sounds like an infomercial, but it's true - the damn things are so comfortable, I just can't go back to the old 'cramped' keyboards.
Speaking of which, isn't Rhythmbox the audio player of choice for GNOME ? And given that, doesn't pretty much every Linux distro now come with Mono preinstalled? IIRC, Evolution is Mono-based as well, Evolution being GNOME's mail program of choice.
I've been to DMV's in 3 different cities, and the people are far from nice (think Patty and Selma type of nice), buildings are aging, and going to the DMV is essentially standing in line for several hours while a bunch rejects pretend like they're working for charity, and not because they didn't know any better than not to drop out of high school/college/jr high. Socialized healthcare is another animal altogether, but a visit to the DMV is far from a pleasant experience. But maybe it's because I'm in California?
I resist using them whenever I can, but unfortunately, some sites DO require it. It's a most idiotic requirement, on par with requiring a doggy door the size of an adult male, for every new house built.
Yes, but that would require work on the parents' behalf. It's always easier to make someone (or in this case, something) else do it.
Cue "Blame Canada"
I use Ubuntu myself, but I agree - Linux isn't ready for joe blow.
My laptop's soundcard is still not supported properly, my screensavers often don't show up after the first 3 or so times, Flash is still very much touch-and-go. The only type of people that can use Linux at the moment, are those who are are willing to put up with (and work around) the system's many little annoyances. I still prefer GNOME to Windows, but I definitely won't recommend it to my parents, or my wife (lest they pester me non-stop to fix this and that)
Hail, hail Robonia, a land I didn't make up

It's a good thing it's coming back, because I was about to build my own Futurama. With blackjack! And hookers!
Then how will you pay your bonuses?
Yeah, he'd probably blame the amateur BASIC programmers
That may be the case, but I don't think "hairy palm syndrome" has been cured yet. Better be safe

You gotta put down the ducky

I was trying to come up with something useful, but all I could think of was Herschel Krustofsky

crone's disease! *rimshot*
I hate to reference another show altogether, but BEST. NEWS. EVER.
You're a horse's butt?
*monotone* I concur.
One would only hope...
In the words of Bender, "that's not ironic - it's coincidental"
What about the sites that have no other way of retrieving/resetting a lost password? Other than having to email some douche to do it for you?

Considering they got electricity around 45 years ago, I'd say it's about time
