      I can get this perl script to work, I just need to add a couple things from cpan (recurse until it actually works)

    Didn't say android tablets. But since you mentioned it, I know a lot of people who are buying iPads and Android tablets.
    Honeycomb is solving a lot of the fragmentation issues with tablets. In the next couple months android tablets will drop
    in price, and the quad core tablets may be quite nice.

    I've seen the Blackberry Playbook, it makes me giggle.

    I think Microsoft is gonna take it on the chin over the next few months.
    Too little too late in phones and tablets
    Please convince me why I need up upgrade?
    If you give me a system with win8 on it (and probably only a laptop) I'll probably leave a partition for it so I can update the OS once
    or twice a year...

    Or be the people who have actual knowledge, with connections inside and outside IT, and the skills to know how it all works together.

    Get laid off, have them realize that the only person with a clue is gone, "Sure I'll be happy to come back as a contractor at twice
    what you were paying me, only working 40 hours a week."

    Of course if you're not that "guy" you're screwed.

    If their job requires using that device, their employer should supply the applicable device.

    If they want to use a personal device, they should sign off that their system can be remote wiped if access issues/loss of system/loss of job
    occurs.

    I'd vote for total wipe if it's a personal device.
