Really what are people doing with all these tabs open? I've had maybe 8 at the most open at work when looking at things like datasheets. At home its rarely more than a few. I usually close the browser and just open it again later. Its cached already and opens instantly. What are people doing with 50 tabs open?
Name me a time when there wasn't violence going on in the middle east. It was all rainbows and unicorns until Israel showed up and ruined the peace party.
I was wondering this myself since my grandmother is just about deaf and could really benefit from a pair. At this point they are worth more than their weight in gold or even diamonds. Theres nothing that fancy inside. The better ones are programmed to only amplify the frequencies where your hearing is effected. Its a racket pure and simple with inflated prices like diamonds.
The 10% savings on sales tax is a nice bonus but the real reason is Amazon offers the same items for 1/3 less than retail stores. How is that my problem? Makes a difference when a hardcover reference book is $99 at Borders plus sales tax when Amazon can sell the same thing for $66 without taxes and free shipping. Don't get me started on their $25 DVDs and $19 CDs that Walmart sells for way less...
Who would have thought giving kids an even bigger distraction would not increase grades? Kids today can barely sit still and concentrate on one task at a time let alone sit in front of a laptop and be expected to only take notes. What kids really need now is someone to tell them to sit down, shut up, and listen. If a disruptive student doesn't want to be there then they should be able to leave. Forcing them to be there is not helping them or anyone else who is trying to learn.
Given that Apple is suing Samsung while at the same time using Samsung chips in their products, Samsung should halt all production of chips to Apple and see what happens. But of course nobody is that crazy...
For all the usual emulators to get ported. Is it really that big a deal to run a Sega Genesis emulator on your Xbox? If you want a media player then you might as well buy a netbook for around the same price but with a larger hard drive and much lower power requirements.
I know your post is complete bullshit but I'd report that van as suspicious and then mention some young Arab men who come to check on it. Sit back and enjoy the show.
So many of these comments are outright lies. Intel sells OEM chips without a heatsink and retail kits with a pretty decent stock heatsink. Here is a stock intel heatsink for a P3 cpu.
Good luck trying to find anything on google these days. Try searching for a USB driver for a Pantech Breeze cell phone. Find me one link that ISN'T part of a link farm or SPAM, Hell I don't even remember finding Pantech's or ATT's site.
A co-worker of mine used to operate a backhoe and told me the power company came out and spray painted the safe place to dig. Well they were wrong and the high tension line melted the bucket and blacked out the neighborhood. So call before digging is BS.
Google black flash mob and you'll see this is becoming a more frequent and frightening phenomenon. The one previous to this was at the Wisconsin State Fair. Here's the link if you think I'm lying http://www.jsonline.com/news/milwaukee/126828998.html
Thats great if you only need a few but good luck when you are dealing in quantity. Want to program 10,000 chips? Even if you used ICSP you still need a connector or contacts of some sort.
Engineering is using the right tool for the right job. The 555 has been in production for so long for a reason and it can't be purely for hobbyists.
Ever since DVD movies came out the dynamic range became too great. I turn up the volume to hear dialog and then a car horn or dog barking blows me off the couch. The normalizer setting on VLC is not what I want. I want something like this:
The volume is set to a certain level, that is the level I want and nothing should ever go louder than it. Is that too much to ask for?

It might be ok for checking a suspicious file or two but scanning an entire drive would take days. Its THAT slow, seriously.
But they cost $1700! No thank you. How many people are even using them at that price?

Money talks, whats the real story here?

Try and remove a lot of the default icons like the stock app. You can't unless you jailbreak it.

Intel chips overheat? I don't think so

So can anyone name a merger that the government has successfully stopped?

No really try watching it. I'm halfway through the last season and like it better than Voyager and Enterprise.
Can someone please make sense of that summary. All I can gather is a law school is suing a blogger from Georgetown?
What are the secret police going to come over here and get him?
Alright 6 warnings! Now I know to cut it out after the 5th.

George Lucas has a slashdot account?

The scary part is that this subject was even up for debate.
