    If the Brazilians find it useful, then by all means, use the site in Brazilian.

    The AIX group was lame, the vi group had 1 conversation a millenia ago, and by the time I finished typing a long winded discourse on my favorite drummer Orkut logged me out. For all its warts, I'm sticking to Slashdot. Everyone else can have orkut.

    Seriously. I STOPPED using linux because of slashdot! That, and because a simple java Swing app on my LinuxPPC distro would cause the box to FREEZE. And didn't come with inetd.

    however this is cool (and k3wl) on many levels- but the most important being the paralellism that occured on the other side of the iron curtain (perchance you, being a mental midget, are in actuality too young to remember the race with the Red Menace)

    The east/west one-upmanship is interesting in itself, but taken to a geeky subculture of video games, and its really cool. And 31337.

    Nope. I just run it straight through. That stupid Columbians vs. Hatians mission took me 20 tries. So what if I lost a bit of money or my weapons? Guns are easy to come by, so are vehicles. I'll make the money back. Besides, I wouldn't risk "losing" a secret package/tiki doll!

    Yep- thats why anyone who THINKS they have my phone number when I call them don't realize they are wrong until they call back and hit the switch board.

    Nah, I'm talking about the parent above- his comment was "266? screw that! it sucks!" My intention was to say that an under powered machine can still surf the web, word process, get me to work and back, and even have some MHZs for photoshop!

    I've got win98 on a p166 (runs: VPN software, Office 2k, Exceed X station stuff, Photoshop) and win98 on a p233 super-slim laptop (same apps).

    Everything runs fine and I'm not even using a stripped down linux (which I'm sure would smoke!).

    Give me your old hardware.

    This isn't a troll; I just have a warped, slashdot view of the world.

    As far as all the geeks I know here say, the last movie SUCKED (or WAS TEH SUCK).

    Are there enough remaining fan boys who loved the series the justify a purchase like this?

    I know that for Lord of The Rings a 40 disc box set (including a full disk of Viggo Mortensen clearing his throat in the morning) would be snapped up in a jiffy by everyone here (*well, everyone but the Tolkein die hards).

    Such a great game. Its quick though- you could finish it in a day if you wanted to. But really, you should just savor the experience.

    I was actually a bit sad when my wife decided not to renew...
