I get phishing email all the time and the occational spam and I have lost rack of how many on line services accounts I have or even wher half of them are. When a site requires certain information that I think they don't need to know I just fill in bogus information. For instance one's telephone number 9 times out of ten I give them the number to directory assistance 555-1212. If they want an address and I dont particulary think the need it I will give them a bogus address.
What the Federal government needs to do is take the heads out of their fourth pone of contact and pass a law mandating that parents actually parent their children and forbidding state interference in parenting. The state is a poor parent and the federal government is even worse. Of course the military uses static lines to open the main parachutes which on a practice jump is normally 800 feet when jumping from planes and 1200 feet when jumping from helicopters. They are taught to count to four then check their canopy if they don't feel the opening shock. If they have to deploy their reserve which they will only get one chance at something is going to get broken on them. And since when is a municipality required to use any entity outside of it self to do anything that the said municipality has decided to do. There have been several instances where the police have used cameras to follow people home and actually gaze through their windows.
On the streets there is no real expectation of privacy. But using the camera system to follow a person to their home and peer through their windows that's not only an invasion of privacy that's abuse of power. Cameras do not detour crime they do; however, make it easier to prosecute the criminals. Any public camera system like this one should be pointed on the streets and on the streets only. But since we can't trust the powers that be to do the right thing we must assume that they will abuse their power and go where no camera should go. But if we had someone to watch the watchers then may be it will be ok.
I don't get it. If they say they're compatible with Firefox - as in web browser - why does that browser need to run on a particular operating system? Since invention of flash video we are free from unnecessary plugins and related burden. Just enter address, and let it play.

As for fixing the election process I suggest allowing Grade School children run the elections and count the votes. I don't think you could find a more disintrested part than that.

Encrypt the file with the best free encryption out there. Just to fan the flames a little more visit a few questionable sites that will raise their suspicions a little. Now travel abroad and come back a few days later looking as suspicious as possible to provoke them into taking your laptop. When the break the encrypted file so they can read it, have it contain a message to them. Some thing insulting and totally irritating to them
