Sony/MS/Nintendo should just give the games away for free but charge a higher amount for online play, some of which they give to the developers, since that's the only thing they can truly control. Until then, this will keep happening because there will ALWAYS be a way to crack the DRM.
I completely agree with your statement; there are far more important things going on here. OTOH, to kids growing up in Suburbia and only being exposed to those world-atrocities if they decide to turn on the tele and watch, this Sony article is a pretty important thing. It's all a matter of perspective, really. The fact that kids don't have a great understanding of all things worldly means, I think, that America is still working the way is has been since WWII. Anyone can choose to block out what's happening in country because it doesn't direcftly affect them.
I don't care what the studies say about how THC affects a person's ability to function. I've never seen someone smoke so much marijuana that they couldn't get in their car and drive an hour later.
Why don't they take this one step further and start scanning records from the wireless carrier? This way they don't get up from their desk until they absolutely have to.
I used to watched a lot of porn. I would start my download at night and wake up to a whole new collection in the morning, giddy as a kid on Christmas. I used to even get excited when I got porn with Asian girls.
For a while.
Clip after clip it seemed that these girls simply didn't have their heart into it....like they didn't actually want to be there. They'd be looking down at the ground seemingly at another place in their heads, maybe trying to escape what's being done (except for the shit-eaters...they really seem to love their jobs). Not like the American girls who can take a load in the face and smile, never batting an eye. It got to the point where as soon as I noticed an Asian porn in the collection, it went into the remainders bin along with the anal and accidental transvestite porn (oops, how'd that get in there?).
Like someone had said in a story from earlier this week, Android is the new Windows with its wide-hardware compatibility and susceptibility to viruses.
Now that you mention it, we did have one machine come out of sleep mode whilst in someone's backpack. It burned up the screen and left a 1cm-squared white spot in the middle of the LCD. The tech came out to replace it and insisted that it was due to crush damage because of the burn being the same size of a keyboard button. We had to pay Dell for the new screen because our IT manager felt it was in the company's best interest not to get the accidental coverage. A decision that I'm sure he's regretting (but won't admit).
We bought several E6510's for my firm and they were spotty out of the box, but I attribute that to the load of Windows that came installed. I wiped one, installed a fresh copy and Ghosted for the rest. Haven't had a single problem since.
In the Northern hemisphere it's Aurora Borealis. In the Southern hemisphere it's Aurora Australis. What's it called when it hits the lower latitudes closer to the Equator?
Yep. I already take exams online using the method you described: a web-cam and a microphone. If they cant see your right hand they will stop the test and make you reposition the camera so they can. If there is any outside noise they will stop the test until you make it quiet enough.
if I can get the articles-only version.
Two all-grey sharkies
special sauce, lettuce, cheese
pickles, onions on a wet motorway
Nice!! Keep em coming!
Cue the chocolate milk and dark chocolate jokes. I'm too busy, otherwise I'd think of some. C'mon /., don't let us down!
Sounds like NASA should have outsourced the work to China or Mexico. It's good enough for car makers...
"too small to take on a company like Capcom."
Which is exactly why Capcom can and did.

Dear user,
Please do not post that Key again
Sincerely, Sony

Ugh...yes. Sand != lube.
Cop math? I was thinking RIAA math.
There's a difference?

For iPhone 4G?
That would explain why there's no 4.2 Jailbreak yet.
They should make the next ball one big spherical LCD TV, so they can project whatever they want all the way around.

So I, for one, welcome less Asian porn.
I've used this before and I'm sure most of /. has seen this, but I believe it fits the conversation at hand.
