Thanks American Chemistry Society. I had no idea, until your lawsuit pointed it out, that these sites existed. Time to start browsing through publicly funded research!
TI-99/4A. 1981. The neighbor, who worked at IBM, had one and taught me how to debug the programs printed in the Scholastic books that I bought at school.

"...where high-salaried techies have driven up rents"
The "techies" didn't drive up the rent, the landlords drove up the rent because they could. Who the hell says, "Hmm, this is a nice place for $XX but I'd really rather pay $XXX for it"?
Or you could skip the pony tail, get a decent job, actually graduate, get a car/apt live in S. Austin, pay off your loan, and go into virutally any AC'd food/coffe/alcohol establishment in austin and get free wifi. That's what I did. Don't know why you would want to do it the hard way.
Actually I've played DVDs on my modded Xbox with the video going to my 43" Samsung DLP HDTV set via the High Definition AV Pack and the video sucks. Colors are washed out. Went right back to using my HTPC.
Actually, the original poster - me - owns a *rear projection* 43" Samsung DLP HDTV monitor and knows that the tech works for both rear and forward projection. Thanks for pointing that out though. One more benefit of DLP over Plasma.
I don't know why everyone has a hardon for plasma. Sure it's thin but it suffers from burn in and it runs fairly hot and the colors fade after a few years. DLP doesn't suffer from burn in at all, so you can play all the computer/pc games on it you want without fear of ruining your multi thousand dollar investment. Plus when the DLP light board goes out in 3-4 years just buy a new one for a few hundred and drop it in.
With the the mentioned x-ray images.

You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada
You can have my librarians when you pry them from my cold dead grasp.

One whiskey and one beer? Yep, that's all we make here in Texas. Way to get to the bottom of that case Rockford.
Wan Hu?
Scientists prove that heat makes things hot and should be avoided when you don't want things to be, you know, hot.
Not on one disk though.
Xeni Jardin, over at Boingboing.net has a ticket and is blogging the experience.

Works great on my HTPC system even without line of site to the reciever. Maybe you should try it before putting it down.
Yep, they're called Coctail Tables. They're arcade cabinets in the form of a table so that you can put your drink on it while playing.

I hope not. My computer and I are in a strictly platonic relationship.
Actually I think Marx stole that from Clemens.

Say it together class: "War on Terror"
I still break out my TI/99/4A every once in a while just to make sure it still works and maybe play a little Pirates Isle.
