The first with the portable DVD player form factor was the Fujitsu P1200. I consider this the first modern machine that fits into the netbook designation.
I thought the plumbing was spot on. Coupled with the vastness of the interior spaces it worked for me. I think they were trying to evoke the appearance of submarine minimalism with the exposed systems. Granted, the water pipes were a bit much, but otherwise it was good.
If security matters all drops will be locked down to a specific MAC and the network monitored for any unauthorized MACs. Where I once worked they were very diligent about this and an IT guy would be there within minutes if anyone plugged in unauthorized equipment.
The Apple screensaver is good. One of the Windows ports for MAME has excellent scanline emulation. At least on a high res CRT. It has a multitude of different patterns to choose from to best match the type of screen used on each game.
Chewbacca always struck me as very dog-like with his speech.
That's not coincidental. Chewie's sounds are based on the unusual sounds made by the Alaskan Malamute. Lucas had owned one before writing the script for Star Wars and wanted Chewie to sound like that.
The primary reason why intellectual property laws were written into the constitution was to incentivise people to create useful things for the greater good by giving them a limited period of exclusivity in the creation of those things (goods, designs, creative works). Your idea of penalizing an inventor with no manufacturing capacity of his own works against the intent of the patent system. Obviously the way things are now allows the system to be gamed but some of the exploitable aspects are necessary to help out the little guy.
For whatever stupid reason, Adobe thought it would be useful to have scripts in PDF files. I've disabled it ages ago, but I still run it elsewhere on web.
Which is ironic since PDF was originally designed to be a reduced, non-Turing complete version of Postscript partly for the safety of a restricted interpreter.
I can't imagine that a parachute wouldn't still be used for the initial descent. This plan also requires comparatively large amounts of rocket fuel to be launched and brought back down and is a potential safety risk in the event of a malfunction on landing. In the case of the survived malfunctions with the Soyuz system, many have been sheer luck but some of the survivability has to be attributed to the simplicity of the design.
It is really just common sense to leave some slack in the cable so the next guy who comes along and has to move things around doesn't end up burning you in effigy.
Sometimes the "answers" are phrased so that it isn't immediately obvious what the object of the response is supposed to be. I hope they won't tailor the questions to accommodate the machine and minimize these although only a few show up in each show. If it can successfully parse the trick questions then something of merit will have been achieved. A lot of the "answers" depend on word play and obscure word association where an unlimited database of facts isn't going to be good enough to formulate a correct response. That is going to require a well designed reasoning algorithm. Again, if the machine can hold its own then something of merit will have been achieved.
That's a reference to a music video from an episode of this year's Saturday Night Live in the states. If you havn't seen it you would think that's a pretty weird thing to post which is the crux of the video too.
The ads for prescription drugs are relatively new. They used to not be allowed but the FDA caved to big corporate sometime in the 90's. They aren't like normal over the counter drug ads. They have to follow one of two formats: The ad makes very vague statements about the drug along the lines of "If your are experiencing X symptoms, ask your doctor about prescription drug Y"; or the ad makes explicit statements about what the drug is supposed to do but all side-effects are described spoken aloud at normal speed. The latter can be quite humorous when the side effects are plentiful and severe when the rest of the ad is trying to convince you that this stuff is the best shit on earth.
It's these commercials that are the front line for creating consumer demand for these drugs and the basis for their need to pressure doctors into hopping on their bandwagon to prescribe the latest and greatest pill.
Well terminated cat5 cable will be sufficient for achieving 1Gb/s speeds. What's more important for maximizing your throughput is to ensure that you have your cables properly wired to support full duplex connections. In addition, all passive hubs should be eliminated and replaced with GigE switches, either managed or unmanaged depending on how much control you need.
DNA sequencing is very error prone, particularly when performed by the minimally educated techs working in crime labs. Furthermore the whole system of using "DNA markers" is flawed. To speed the workflow the fewest markers possible are tracked and this has been shown to be not enough to positively identify someone.
It is entirely possible for a your DNA to be wrongly sequenced or contaminated to produce false match to a criminal already in the database. Every entry in current DNA databases is also suspect of being flawed and another potential source of a false match. If this happens for a serious crime like rape or murder you're looking at being greatly inconvenienced at the least and you may end up with your public reputation tarnished permanently even after the issue is cleared up with the authorities.
Every Catholic service I've been to has been pretty easy going. As long as you don't participate in the eucharist (that would be a little rude) you should be welcome regardless of your beliefs. That should be the way for all Christians to behave but as you have experienced, some of them don't have a clue about their own religion.
In case you didn't realize this. The mega corporations in SK completely and thoroughly own the government. It makes the collusion in the US look like a walk in the park.
Meanwhile my DSL from the local provider in Rochester has plummeted from 4.4Mbit to 2.4Mbit due to line quality issues and I'm powerless to do anything about it. I don't want to be raped by TW and need to run a server so I'm stuck for now.
Because conventional wisdom often isn't so much wise as it is conventional.
Conventional wisdom led to the MHz war and the foolish, marketing driven decision to double the pipeline length on the P4. This directly led to lower instructions per cycle and hence lower true performance than one would expect just going by the clock rates. The average consumer is ignorant of these sort of details and the marketing folks get paid to figure out how to exploit that ignorance.
Wisdom has no place in a world where you can get ahead with smoke and mirrors.
The sticky thing is that US citizens don't really get their rights until the age of majority (18). Until then they are subordinate to their parents unless they have been legally emancipated. Schools are given assumed authority in loco parentis while the students are on school grounds and this power gets abused from time to time.

There are tamper evident labels that cannot be removed and reapplied without ruining them.

That's 'cause you're not 3l337.
Thompson's tenacity would fit in well with Scientology's breed of sharks. He just has to move to Clearwater and he's set for life.

The thing is, good ol' Jack isn't a resident of Utah. The Legislators of that state have no obligation to serve him.

Virtual Unix-Like Vexing Apparatus ?
Indeed, and they come with even less documentation too. Most of which is for an older version and is a few thousand years out of date.

Serenity is somewhat appropriate since this node has the viewing cupola which will be a popular hang out spot for off duty astronauts.
