Of course she gets away with it. The Clintons are running a vast worldwide criminal enterprise where money talks and even hints of prosecution would result in financial ruin and death threats. Clintons don't go to jail. Just wait and you'll hear nothing from the FBI career investigators---they've been silenced.
Right! I'm sure this is exactly what everybody wants. You are away from home and need to turn on a device in your home so you issue the command via a phone app. And everybody wants these commands being routed through China, right? Betcha China would love to get these gadgets installed in the Pentagon.
Anyway the fiasco of incredibly lame security implementations in iOT continues unabated. How long before NSA decides to turn off your iOT connected toothbrush or pacemaker?
You can bet that if FB is forcing this issue then they have some kind of spyware in it. Facial recognition, anyone? Glad I'm not on FB. I encourage all my friends to vacate NSA's premise, err...I mean FB.
Golly it must be shocking for these newbees to find out that those relatively cheap 16GB iDevices don't hold much data. Surprise! Surprise! And no wonder Apple is moving to 128GB. Glad the streaming solution is being realized by many--great if you don't have data caps. You know what they say: "Mo memory, mo betta!"
So many have been stung by those El Cheapo Cables (me included!) that Amazon's move is most welcome. Now who is testing these cables and telling Amazon whether they meet spec and go on the white lit or don't meet spec and get de-listed?
So they got lucky and hit the 4 digit pin before the auto-wipeout? I don't wee what difference it makes if you have a 4 or 5 digit pin--they still have to guess correctly before the counter hits 10 and wipes out the phone.
As I understand the possible FBI scheme is to keep replacing the NAND chip which contains the counter - 10 tries after which the chip erases the iPhone - by first cloning that chip, testing a code, then replacing the chip with a fresh one with the counter still at 10...theoretically this would work.....if they can work through all the 1,000,000 possible combinations.
Maybe worth it to SOME. I've boycotted iOT devices and will continue to do so until high security has been adopted as industry standard. No, I'm not holding my breath. Where I live we've got a lot of tech-savvy criminals and I won't give them the iOT edge.
I still doubt they've cracked the iPhone....seems like a delaying tactic of the FBI since they're realized Apple's case is pretty strong and has a lot of support.
Yah, just pay extra! Everybody knows where the revenue of a tax increase would go. But then that's the same place that the "just pay extra" money goes: More boondogles and wars and **NOTHING** to help the poor.
You'll see these classic cars all over Havana. They are often used as taxi's and are fun to ride in. Most owners take great pride in maintaining them, too. These guys were hacking these cars before the word came to mean what it does today---they had to learn to improvise since they couldn't get parts. (You should see what they do for TV antennas!) Most of the modern cars you see there are Chinese.
I've been building PC's since the mid 80's with the above mentioned components. So what's to happen now, Microsoft going to try and sue everybody who builds their own PC's? "Prior Art" isn't going let this fly.....we'll need to see that patent.
Yes, folks, it's not only NSA reading your email, but your iOT devices, and your TV are spying on you. Samsung has got tons of well deserved negative publicity for this and also because this spying could not be disabled. Anyone suspect that Apple TV with Siri does the same thing? It won't belong before iOT enabled toasters and toothbrushes will be telling NSA why kind bread you toast and the brand of toothpaste you use. I solved this problem by disabling voice commands on all my devices and using Snort with pfSense to block all these devices from calling home. Yes, it makes by devices dumber....but more secure. By the way, this works great with Win10, too. So if you can't disable this spying within the device itself, it seems like an external gatekeeper is the only solution.

Add Pro-Trump..
Delete on purpose to hide IG findings or are Hillary's server guys moonlighting?

"All your bases are belong to us!"
Feinstein has been on the wrong side of almost every bill I've seen her on. She's 82 and needs to retire.
Very few people will agree with that argument. Anyway, I too have a piece of tape over my webcam.
Daddy should call Cellebrite.

Apple cannot be happy about this. Users, of which I am one, am not happy about this. Apple needs to up their game. NOW.

Yes, we're all shocked! What was everybody thinking? That they used Phones? These people are crazy, not stupid.

Not even close! Twitter has a political agenda going on many fronts. Just see what Twitter censorship looks like in Europe!
Next the poor Iranians will have to have an app to avoid the Thought Police.

Well, I don't really disagree with this. So where should the re-think take place?
This H1-B visa is being vastly abused by big companies. Time for congress to step back and rethink.
