My mother DOES use iChat. She can barely turn on her computer, but she understands that she can nag me and my sister at almost any time for free with iChat.
It does require iTunes to be installed, but if you have purchased iTMS AACs, you'll probably have iTunes installed, right? Apple hasn't helped them at all? Have anything to back that up?
This is true, and as an American, I felt more glad that you posted this than the parent post. However, while watching that cgi video, it did occur to me that my country has accomplished a lot, though I had nothing to with with it. It made the war and religious disagreements seem so secular and completely meaningless. If the planning and money that went into both the 9/11 attacks and the Iraq war (for example) had gone into something that might actually be worthwhile and stand the test of time, we just might make a better world here.
This is not at all the case. Copying your music to the iPod happens automatically by default. You can get songs off the iPod with lots of 3rd party software tools. It's much easier than any other mp3 player I've seen.
If you have to mortgage your house for a 50 dollar battery, you need to move anyway.
Well, you only have to wait -2 years for a 5 gig iPod, and when you figure out how to wait negative years then you'll make more money than any mp3 player manufacturer.
What do you mean "no doubt there were plenty?" Is that just pure speculation? OK here's my rebuttal: There were none and the OS9 codebase was 5 lines long. I won't provide any proof of that statement either and we can continue our fact-free discussion.
Hold on, I'm a huge Apple apologist, but that's simply not true. The Mac BU at MS is top notch. Nothing I've heard about Mac Office has made it automatically insecure. Give us an example, because I can't think of one.
I think Steve knows this, but he can't go into an interview and announce "of course our DRM can be broken! It's easy, I'll show you how." Seems to me that part of making the record companies happy is perception, patting them on the head and saying "it's all alright."
That's what I don't get. When you try to obfuscate your email address, doesn't that say to them "I'm not interested and will never buy anything advertised over email?" Are they just trying to raise their valid address list total?
To scroll horizontally in Mac OS X, hold down the shift button on the keyboard and use the vertical scroll wheel on your mouse. Works in Finder, Safari, lots of apps. Cool!

Hehehe. Thank you for beating me to that joke.
By the time HL2 comes out, you'll have to upgrade your toaster to play.

No, in fact the recently released RealPlayer 10 will play iTunes purchased music.

I second that. This was the only non-fps game I bought this year.

OK, well, good luck finding a non-profit MP3-player manufacturer.
What if I want to create a backup of the movie I just saw? I mean, what if I forget what happened?
Shame on the governor for not moving local jobs out of the country! What an obvious personal agenda!
Sheesh...
Read the second page of the article. They go into more interesting detail about iPods, Bluetooth and Rendezvous than you did.
It would have also been nice if you had read the second page of the article where they talk about exactly that and even cooler applications of it.
I was just thinking the Soul Rhythm Generators would be a good name for a band.
And I thought spam was a meat product. Learn something new every day, huh?
You don't have to imagine, just play Halo online!

It was a joke, man. Lighten up.
Well, it is an Apple product, so, by custom, it must be considered "beleaguered."
