It looks like (at least according to another reply to the parent that wasn't visible as I was writing mine) the option to disable Flash was moved in the browser options from a dedicated checkbox to a general "Enable Plugins" setting that I didn't see.
After reading your comment I checked the built-in browser on my newly-updated FroYo Incredible just to confirm that you were wrong about the inability to disable Flash. Much to my chagrin, I found you to be the opposite of wrong.
This is disappointing as I would always browse in 2.1 with Flash turned off, and now I can't do that in the default browser anymore. I never installed any third-party browsers because I feared more use of the battery from an app that's not as tightly integrated into the OS. Are these fears at all justified?
I was born in 1987 and played DN3D. I remember scratching the "Parental Warning" label off of the box so my mom would let me buy it.
If I recall correctly DN3D (or one of the special editions) also included DN 1 and 2. I remember being excited to play them until I discovered that they were like side-scrolling platformers, at which point I said "what the hell is this?" and went back to DN3D.
Wow, that completely describes my own experience of flying to Japan with my college class. I had always wanted to fly in a 747 because they were so huge. On the flight to Osaka from Chicago we were on a 777, and I was slightly bummed. Imagine how bummed I was when we took a 747 back.
Being able to track your progress across the Pacific whenever you please definitely has its advantages.
I do agree. I didn't want to start a PC vs. Console war, I was more speaking from experience as someone who has little to no extra cash for gaming nowadays. For me, the 360 that I bought all those years ago is now the center of my entertainment setup. I use it for playing DVDs, last.fm, Netflix, and as a bonus I can play the latest game if I can afford it.
I guess that when it comes down to it I'm just not a hardcore gamer anymore, not by choice but by budget. If I could blow 600 dollars to start a new PC from scratch it would probably kick a lot of ass, and I'd do it in a heartbeat. But as it stands now my PC does the things I need it for, and I don't need it for games.
Doesn't stop me from firing up Counter Strike Source every now and then, though.
Similarly priced console? I wonder how well a 400 dollar "gaming" PC purchased in 2005 runs the newest PC games. And if you had such a system, your games start to look worse and worse, whereas a 360 owner will only notice improvements in graphic quality.
Consoles are a great option if you don't like to have control or options, that is it.
Console games are still great for the kids who don't know where the real gaming is.
I know you're being facetious, but I disagree. The reason I play console games almost exclusively now is because I don't have a desire to spend copious amounts of cash every year to upgrade my rig. I spent 400 dollars years ago for my 360 and I can play the newest games just as well as anyone. Buy a decent computer and watch how long it takes without upgrading before your games barely run.
I was fanatizing about sending a probe with such a propulsion system, but then I realized that to us on Earth the probe would still take a long-ass time to get there. And once it finally does, any data it collects would still take us 61 years to see.
While I can understand that concern, I know that for many people (including myself) the multiplayer aspect of the game is the selling point, with the single player being a nice bonus. Granted I'll be playing on 360 and not PC, but when I can only get one game this season it's probably going to be the sequel to a game that had incredibly high replayability for me in the past.
One of the reasons I'm thankful for the ambient light sensor on my MBP. If my prof happens to turn the lights down for a presentation or demonstration, the screen dims accordingly.
How can you stereotype the entire 95% of Blacks as anti-White, and in the same breath say that all 64.5% of Hispanics and Asians are completely racially unbiased? How do you support these claims?
You also seem to be neglecting the percentage of Whites who voted against a Black candidate. Let's say (and I think this is reasonable in our country) that 25% of McCain voters are anti-Black. How does that change your final vote estimate? This racism deal goes both ways.

"Use the Preview Button! Check those URLs!"
A kid shouldn't be taking medication for anything less than a serious physical problem.
Profane MuthaFucka:
That's what I said when the doctor said my boy had cancer!
Sounds like a serious physical problem.

I'll be waiting for Google to unveil the Nexus 6 Android. I hear the AI will be state of the art!
Japan already fingerprints and photographs all foreigners when they enter the country.

$10 extra each game over PC
Not if you're playing Modern Warfare 2 =P
$600 for HD TV
I'm not including the price of a monitor when I compare the costs of PC and 360.
$50 for an additional controller
How much is an additional controller for PC?
$30 x 2 for chatpads or about $1300 in three years.
Never needed one of those.
I'm not saying consoles are better, just that they're cheaper. I also have used both.
Consoles are a great option if you don't like to have control or options, that is it.
Or if you want all the console exclusive games.
Yeah you definitely don't want to hear the loud banging of those decibals.
Console games are still great for the kids who don't know where the real gaming is.

You don't have to participate in it, there's an option to skip the sequence right before it, as well as any time during it.
My MacBook Pro can melt the skin off my legs AND boil a pot of water, all without the slightest dip in performance.
It's genuinely surprising to me that someone hasn't heard that catchphrase. And I'm wayyy too young to have watched the show.

Your point being ? At least on my dictionary, servant and slave are 2 very different things.
Even so, the President is a servant of the people, not the other way around.

So perhaps we've shown that executive experience isn't the best criterion for predicting a candidate's success as President?
