Twitter waffled for so long about exactly what kind of relationship it was going to have with its budding developer community. I can honestly say I'm surprised their decision went in this direction, but at least they made a decision... I guess?
Ignored as the Mac lineup has been, I for one am thrilled they have yet to jump on the [IMO] asinine touchscreen/stylus laptop craze. YMMV and that's perfectly fine, but it fits not at all into my workflow.
But I should mention that I absolutely envy colleagues of mine who regularly function on 5-6 hours of sleep. I could get quite a lot more done with the extra 2-3 hours.
...and 8+ is ideal. But between being a full-time developer and running marathons, I figure whether it's due to the lack of a genetic mutation or simple necessity is, bluntly, irrelevant. If I get fewer than 7 hours of sleep, I suck at everything, physical or mental.
The first movie in the reboot series was passable. The second was flat-out some of the laziest writing I've ever seen; I'm still raging about the "cold fusion" bomb.
Hopefully this means the writing will improve somewhat. Granted, it's not exactly a tall order but I'll take what I can get.
A watered down version of the original bill with the name "FREEDOM" in the very title still couldn't pass muster once the WSJ put the words "terrorist" and "ISIS" next to it.
...all the comments about "Bayesianism is better than Frequentism" or "Why didn't the authors use this Frequentist analysis?" start popping up. Not that I'm advocating for one over the other, just arguing that they're both tools that are often used for the same nail without realizing that you need to hold them slightly differently for them to actually work the way they're supposed to.
I hope a carpentry analogy is acceptable in lieu of a car analogy.
I get the distinct impression I'm only going to add fuel to the raging fire by responding...but I'm honestly perplexed by the "gay-bashing" comment. What in my history fits that moniker? I basically comment on science articles or I bash tech companies. That's pretty much it.
So your solution, then, is anarchy? I mean if the human race is going to do its own thing anyway, irrespective of nuances like "laws" and "don't be a dick."
for this thing to BSOD

"Get off my lawn."
*twirls finger and whistles*
when the temperature regulator overheats? What regulates the regulator?
"Browser Golf."

Were you busy on Wednesday or something?
Would give you all my mod points if I had any. Thank you.
My abacus works just fine, too. Doesn't mean it's reached the ultimate apex of utility.
So I just remember everything.
The cameras were actually there to capture the lulz.
Where's the "suddenoutbreakofcommonsense" tag? Actually useful for once!
The first one had "Nemesis" as its predecessor. Literally having a pulse made it a decent movie.

...for flagging Bennett posts.

I have literally no idea what the summary even said.

We'll get about 10 minutes of halfway-decent discussion and debate before the trolls descend and start upvoting blatantly misogynistic tripe.

Pretty much. This guy nailed it.
