    A lot of people use their phone as a watch these days, so it would be nice to have the possibiltiy to turn off the phone functionality but keep the clock functionality. Ditto with phones that have cameras, PDA capabilities, etc. That way you could still use them in aircraft, hospitals etc. without having the problems an active phone are supposed to cause.

    All the phones I've had are either fuly ON or fully OFF with maybe juts an alarm fucntion being available.

    Mine was a VIC-20 with a couple of game cartridges. Soon started typing in games from magazines and learning that way. (In fact, I think I even have issue 1 of Computer and Videogames up in the attic, back in the days when it carried listings for ZX-81, Spectrum, Tandy, Dragon and the good ol' Oric. )

    The only problem was that I didn't get a tape deck to save the programs on for about 3 months, so everytime I wanted to play a game I had to type in the code again!

    But bear in mind that in the Windows market you'd be competing with hundreds of other gaming products. In the Linux market you would be cometing with far fewer products. So what would be better, 1% of 90% of the market or 50% of 10% of the market?
