  1. Comic + Motion = Animation on Comics Escape a Paper Box and Evolve to the Web · · Score: 1

To my jijnd, ocne you start adding too much animation to the comic you are creating a cartoon/animation. I would expect a digital comic to be more interesting by allowing user interaction - maybe picking your own plot or ending... soemthing like the following perhaps?

They may not have drubnken hooligan soundracks yet, but if you swithc on the ref's mike you oftne hear interesting commentary from the players ;-) Also, you can turn off the commentary completely and watch the matches as if you were there.... :-)

I'm hardly an expert, but I thought the purpose of the tiles wasn't to simply survive heat but to prevent its conduction. Can you take a modern alloy of similar weight and thickness, heat one side with a torch and hold your hand on the other? Then you have a fair argument.

In that case, why don't they put the heat tiles on the inside of the shuttle - then they woulnd't keep dropping off... ;-)

  19. Re:Print papers are actually free, comparitavely.. on The Fate of The Free Newspaper · · Score: 1, Interesting

But you guys can't have it both ways-- if you block the ads through your browser or your host list, you can't expect free content forever. That's why i don't use anything (other than a popup blocker, of course) to prohibit ads. They are what allow us to consume "free" content.

And exactly how do they tell that you are blocking ads and I am not? Unless you are actively reading those ads, follwing the links and then buying something! then there is really not much difference between you and me as fas as the seller is concerned - except you just used some of his bandwidth ;-)

Besdies which, even if I do keep the ads on display, most sites advertise stuff which I can't buy outside the US anyway - so they're wasting their time with me and other non-USA-dwelling netizens.
