What are all these flaws that all these idiots are unable to see? I thought it was the absolute perfect currency that cannot be bested by anything, I guess I was wrong... You have singlehandedly and so eloquently disproven the entire basis of Bitcoin I am forced to see it for the absolute trash that it is.
Not to mention the ability to quickly search for things near your location. Such as, I dont know exactly the address of where i am and dont really want to find it out, but I would like to find the nearest gas station/theater/ER to me right now. It has come in really handy for me on occasion.
I think plenty of people where happy with the idea of buy 2 get 1. I would love to get my hands on one or 2 of those. It seems stupid to limit your marked to begin with. Unless I am misunderstanding the article, which seems to have to different points going on. I understand that the development is not geared toward the developed world but that doesn't mean that some will not want it.
and the general sentiment seems to be that it won't be a hot seller
What are you talking about? where the hell did you come up with that? I have not seen one person speculate on the sales of the iphone that had anything negative to say. far from being the general sentiment.
And you are a Fascist lier!!! Sorry if I sound angry but you fat American pigs must learn the truth
Wow.... really, i think if you actually intend to spread any sort of knowledge to anyone other than people who already agree with you. you might try to cut down on the unessasary insults. try to figure the person is not actually in your shoes and malicious, but just ill informed.
I have often thought that it would be really neat if you could get a visual image of radio waves like around for example 2.4ghz and be able to see exactly how your surroundings block/absorb/reflect those wave - in addition to seeing sources of the waves. They mention that might be possible by throwing a different sort of detector instead of a ccd in there? anyone know - would that be possible? do 2.4ghz waves bounce off anything else like light does mirrors, without getting scattered?
Why would they have to give that up, I don't see any reason why they couldn't allow someone else to create the show, as long as they recieved a percentage of the money made. Maybe I'm wrong but what risk would it be to them?
I cant seem to find the page but I was looking at flywheels a while back and a simple solution to the 2 problems you list where solved. Basically the flywheel was floating on magnets in a vacum in a steel drum. the company listed the life of the flywheel at 50 years with zero maintinance. basically you could bury them and that takes care of the vacation problem. I think i may have missed your point though, because i dont really understand why you think this would require a lightweight material or that we dont have it yet. it would be easy enough to create a really dense and strong flywheel and not push it to its limits, reducing the need to worry about the thing exploding.
PETA is for animals. I am preatty sure that the organization you are looking to contact is PETJFIDCT (people for the ethical treatment of Japanese flying insects and discarded christmas trees) otherwise known as bill widley, but he's dead.
obviously the moderators are not supposed to actually argue the validity of a comment, you cannot expect all moderators to have a great knowledge of every topic. they are in place to keep conversations on topic, not to do fact checking, that is what the comments are for.
From the darpa site http://www.grandchallenge.org/ it appears that the Stanford team's entry "Stanley" has complete the entire course in 7h28m. Although I cant seem to find anyone posting anything about it yet.
Well, if you think about it, there are probably not that many default installs of ie that keep thier homepage, the users who would leave msn as thier homepage are probably the same users that get malware infections that change the homepage for them.
It always bothers me that most movies barely use the surround channels that are available to them. When is the last time you really heard more than a few enviromental effects during a movie, at a theater or even at home? the special setup discs and whatnot do a good job but most movies only have a few gimmicks in them that make you go "wow, where did that sound come from". Most of the sound is preatty much just in the center, right, and left channels especially any dialog. Mostly it just seems like they are just trying to up the numbers to make it seem more impressive, but i bet on most movies you would have a really hard time differentiating between 6 channels and 13, and maybe even basic stereo and surround for some movies.
not to mention that many of the programs that allow you to turn them "off" at startup just add a switch to the registry key so that they are actually just hidden. or at the very least they still slow down start up so that they can at least start to run the program, only to be shut off by the switch...

I find it really hard to believe that the move to digital cinema will facilitate less piracy.
