I saved a little money using it. Waited 2 months to get a $68 discount on a $850 laptop from Tiger. Could have just gotten it on Amazon through a referral program (for the guy in my Sig) and payed $810, but meh. Ultimately not enough money to make it worth it for me.
So Pandora and Youtube should be Wi-Fi only then? A fairly low quality Song is 3MB so $0.03 per song? That's a good 3% tax on music downloads while running over the limit. God know how much higher it will be for Youtube videos. And Netflix on 3G is right out.
Something had to give for AT&T and we all knew it, including the big guys at AT&T and Apple, but 2GB seems kinda low, might as well just stick with the Wifi version of iDevices then.
I managed to fix this. You have to go into the Window Color and Appearance. But thanks to the Control Panel being so screwy, I had to use the search function. But yeah Padding of 1 or 0 is nice.
Its because the Japanese failed to Open Borders early and never took advantage of technology trade. Also their Chinese cities were in revolt for too many turns.

And the ending made no sense at all taken with the departure of Kate, Sawyer and Clair on the plane. How does Kate end up at the funeral dead if she managed to fly off the island alive? Why even bother to get that group to the plane, if it is meaningless if they reached it or not?
They could have died whenever. The point was that eventually everyone dies. Hurley was the one that bugged me, since he is set up as being the Island Guardian who would protect the thing forever but he died just like everyone else.
But I agree on the Darma drop, Walt and many other holes. Oh well, I still enjoyed the show for the time I watched it. Back to watching some comedies and Discovery shows.
Opera has the benefit of not being a large company in the app market. You might see Firefox at some point, but Internet Explorer and Chrome are going to get rejected into oblivion (see: Google Voice vs. Skype).
I think the point of integrated Flash is so that they can just keep it updated and account for its problems automatically. They don't have to worry about whether a user has it or not, they just do. Similar to including a browser and other content viewers in an OS, you know that your users will probably need it, and it makes it easier to maintain for them.
The US threatened? You must not be paying attention to the charts here. If a true warmonger carefully coordinated their attacks (and with some diplomatic finesse) the US could bring the world under its thumb. Wasting resources on the Middle East is foolish. We would want to attack a country with strong land, good infrastructure, and a not-so-strong willed people. With proper European allies, the US could stage a quick attack on Russia, and bombard China with a fair hail of Naval hell. But this is just the theory...
You try not to base your income stream on a single point of failure (so you develop your app for multiple smartphone platforms), but you absolutely do not ignore the iPhone platform because of a "risk of app not being approved". "Reckless with the company's resources". Goodness me. What are you smoking and can I have some?
Well, I'm sure that your smoking enough of Apple's stuff that you don't have the time now do you?
The point was not that developing for the iPhone is a mistake, but that developing solely for the platform, as Mr. Jobs would so very much love, is. No other platform is so tightly controlled that a software company would have to bend over backwards just to please the gatekeeper. And with the new restrictions, the iPhone OS platform is pretty much incompatible with all other mobile platforms, unless they specifically have a web interface (read: what Google is doing now).
Want an example of why its silly to develop for only iPhone App Store?
Your company makes a bunch of silly little games (think Zynga) that typically involve strip teasing. Sexy Poker, Sexy Bowling, Strip Mini-Golf, Hot Chatline, etc. Apple states that games of any level of Pornography (in the eyes of Jobs) are to be removed immediately. You must now REWRITE ALL YOUR APPS, to remove the one thing that differentiated them from the thousands of similiar crappy games on the store. Your go out of business while some of the games are in the approval process. Oh well.
How is this funny? This is the perfect solution to the problem. Software guys would have to make it simple or just release it without licence, although I don't think most people would read through the GNU license either.
Notice the i Pads are being sent back to the domestic country, so unless they have friends in the postal service, it has nothing to do with the customs wants.
With MS you make your computer a zombie. An Apple computer makes a zombie out of YOU!
And Google makes an index card of your information. Really good quote by the way.
As far as the phone goes though, It sounds like they've built a very thin client for the phone, not a wise choice in my opinion, but if they can keep the cost low, then it would do exactly what a phone was made for, communication.
Civil Rights movement was States vs. Federal. The Southern States lost, and now Black people can sit at the front of the Bus. And now the States are trying to assert their rights by crushing the Healthcare bill on Constitutional grounds
Google isn't trying to say that "Anything but Democracy is wrong" (As we did in the Cold war), they are saying that this particular philosophical belief is wrong.
Off Topic Point: The Shah of Iran disagrees with your idea of US ideology during the cold war.
I think you misinterpreted the order of events. The GP wasn't saying that the Insurance companies have to take everyone, but rather that if you've been paying and then make a claim, you have to get covered. This won't fix the problem of individuals getting coverage, but it will end some of the abuses, while making the insurancers have to look more deeply into who to allow into the pool.
I agree with this method. If I was buying behind the curve, I could see buying games on Steam, since after I'm done, the resale value would be tiny, and I could probably get an amazing deal (like some of their christmas deals are crazy).
I'm currently playing through Bioshock on the PS3, but if I had a better comp at the time I would have gone for the PC version.
Its not like he released it on Wednesday or Thursday, which would have prevented MSFT from having something on Patch Tuesday.

Strange, I thought most Corporatist were Lawful Evil... Chaotic Stupid just doesn't seem to fit.

remember the bacon fiasco?
No. Tell me more! It sounds like a juicy story.
It expands because it's filled with a bunch of self-serving parasites
I find it harder to swallow that word after playing Bioshock.
HAHAHA.
It's always sad to see such an immature post get +5 Insightful.

Agreed. It'll probably have some geekier name from Star Trek or something.

No browser really has a performance advantage across multiple sites (for example Facebook is really optimized for IE for some reason)
Because most Facebook users are clueless about Privacy, as well as browsers?

Yeah, I only came here to post this: "What is, No? Does not Jeopardy still use CRT monitors?"
