Well from what I remember they tried to market it, they just did a lousy job. Like whoever came up with this should have been fired. Out of a cannon. Into the sun.
I have no plans to get an nGage, and I don't really care whether it succeeds or not, but I will say that from the little I've tried the store display models, it gets an unfair rap. It's really not a bad system.
I, personally, have obtained nearly all of my morals from video games, especially playing RPGs
Me too! From Ultima I learned the virtues of honesty, compassion, valor, justice, sacrifice, honor, spirituality, and humility. That's why I no longer steal crops or torches.
A US citizen cannot accept a foreign title without the express permission of Congress
Nope, people who hold government offices, whether elected, appointed, or just hired, aren't allowed to receive foreign awards without Congress' permission.
You seem to imply that it's to be expected, which is a little surprising. I don't usually hear one game developer publicly badmouthing another's game. Since you seem so sure that it's an inevitable occurence do you have examples of it happening before?
I'm sick of their "the stuntman will starve if you download a movie!!" argument, when actors make millions per movie (eg., Brad Pitt earned $17.5M for Troy). I'm not trying to justify the downloading of movies, I'm just sick of the MPAA's silly argument.
The last time someone paid for OSS? Oh, I don't know, maybe the last time someone purchased a Red Hat commercial OS
And you're buying the technical support when you do that. If all you want is Red Hat you can download it.
I could make my code open source by including it in packages users have purchased from me. That way the code is open, the software is unrestricted, and I get paid for it
Then you're not selling the free source software, you're just giving it away at the same time you're selling something else.
The point is that while at an abstract level free software doesn't have to mean you can't sell them, 99% of the time you're not going to sell them because you're taking away any inccentive to actually pay money for the stuff.
I did a fair selection of both in college, and I do think the social sciences get something of an unfair rap here, so I can't really make any substantive suggestions.
If you don't want to quote yourself, you can just remove your name and leave the statement as it is.
3) Buggy quests. DO NOT FIGHT THE HANDMAIDENS. This scripted arena-style challenge seems to work fine. However, if you do it, the next level will not load correctly and you'll be stuck staring at a black screen. Hooray!
My favorite was the time I had a conversation with the handmaiden, then when it ended we went to the loading scene and suddenly I was by myself in the handmaiden base with no NPCs around, an ebon hawk I couldn't board, and nothing else. I wasted time there for an hour running around trying to do stuff before I figured it was a bug and restored.
Well you'll be able to be interested in them for years because you'll never find out what happens to them. I loved the game, I thought the ending was cool, definitely play to the end, but it's like they skipped a few dozen cutscenes.
It says a lot of sad things about American attitudes towards education that almost all of the graduate engineering students at a state-funded school are not only from out of state, but from out of the country.
Well what do you expect. Look at slashdot. How many of you didn't go for a graduate degree (or even a bachelor's degree) in engineering? Yes, I know, you wanted to go right into the workforce so you could make your money, but when enough people do that you eventually end up with the system as it is.

Favorite internet bodies? Oh, so many jokes coming...

No, I think that message is a little too normal by craigslist standards.

Well said.

If you're a private citizen you can.
Add the integrated dock for $50 or something.
They have an integrated dock. IT'S CALLED A USB PORT YOU FREAKS.

A female protagonist would be a nice change of pace.
What are you talking about? Games frequently have female protagonists these days.
Alright, thank you, the submitted story was kind of confusing, but now it makes sense.
No, this isn't sarcasm, seriously thanks.

Well how much do the stuntmen make?

Which makes it, in essence, software for no money. When was the last time you paid someone for free software?

BSD!

So you quote yourself extolling humility. Interesting.
If you don't like it, move to another forum.

this could be one very scary way for states to generate revenue
Sales tax scares you? A trip to the store must be a terrifying experience, then.
I know I haven't RTFA, but still,
But still what?
Wow, Rutger Hauer AND Mimi Rogers. That's got to be a quality movie.
It doesn't actually mention gil sellers, but its pretty well accepted that monopolizing NM spawns is mostly done by gil sellers.
You do realize you're talking gibberish, right?
