Yes, it is. mDNSresponder has had numerous security problems in the past, but Apple has more or less just been playing "whack-a-mole" with the vulnerabilities. Hopefully, this will lead to some real fixes in the underlying code. When I heard about the whole infosec sellout thing, first thing I did was to disable mDNSresponder in the terminal. It's pretty trivial to do, and if you have something that NEEDS UPnP to function, you can always manually install the previous version or whatever.

The article's a little light on details, but explosive failure is pretty rare for hybrid rocket motors such as this, isn't it?

Usually mis-ignition will just cause rapid release of the N2O oxidizer, and designs are such that a clogged nozzle which would actually cause an explosion generally causes a safety valve to open and vent the excess pressure.

Yeah, everything I've seen on hybrid motors says they are non-explosive with a near zero TNT rating.

But you see, those in the Bush administration have not become wealthy by being just "inept shoot-from-the-hip bureaucrats". They've done that by having oil and defense industry interests. The amount of money a president or vice president makes as his salary from the US government is a small fraction of that which they can make by causing their investments in energy and defense contractors to increase in value.
