The only way I see battery to battery not working is if you put + to + or - to -, which won't work in any context. Using + to - should work as well as providing separate contacts for each battery.
While it may be true that it is known that rules will be broken, it scares me to think that any public policy is based on the idea that rules/laws are put in place with the intent that they be broken. There's a big difference.
And U.S. law generally(?) treats the organization as a gestalt with many of the rights/privileges of individuals. I wonder how British law handles things? Are companies treated more as a collection of individuals?
Nothing against Bucky, but I wonder what kind of mileage you'd get if your car didn't have all the various emission and safety features that decrease mileage.
If a teacher sees a student with a cell phone, they confiscate it for the day. If it happens again, the school holds it until a parent comes in to retrieve it. Works for me. There's no education-relation reason a student needs a cell phone while in class.
News to me too.
Oxygen and photosynthesis
With respect to oxygen and photosynthesis, there are two important concepts.
* Plant and cyanobacterial (blue-green algae) cells also use oxygen for cellular respiration, although they have a net output of oxygen since much more is produced during photosynthesis.
* Oxygen is a product of the light-driven water-oxidation reaction catalyzed by photosystem II; it is not generated by the fixation of carbon dioxide. Consequently, the source of oxygen during photosynthesis is water, not carbon dioxide.
A coworker recently worked at a very large retail company. ALL prospective employees take a test like this (cashiers, back office and IT). It has a big impact on what kinds of jobs they consider you for and how far up the ladder you can advance.

But really, the chances of something of any importance being stuck in an attic somewhere and not backed up somewhere are pretty low, too.
Like recordings made by one of the more influential inventors of a century?
gotten first post on this subject? Maybe every one else is RFTA?
Never mind.

You've been reading Slashdot too much. :-P
It actually took four full posts for this thread to degrade into name calling. That's longer than I expected for this subject.
TFA only mentions download rates. Where's the other half of the communication equation?
I expect you don't have any children. If you do, I'm very concerned for them.

physical death closes the window for justice. If there's something beyond, then, I'm not sure..

someone mod this parent up.
I know I'm older than most things in computers, but *unix*? Wow.

No, they don't have a "never goes down" forcefield. They have an SEP field.
