Risks with piracy:
- slow download
- darn, you just downloaded a virus/trojan/keylogger with your game
- you have to download patches from the editor's website, just like with physical media
- No online multiplayer for some games
Steam is a no-brainer, click, buy, get the up-to-date game. Unless one is broke I can't see why one would dowload pirated games.
Then all is not lost and that business model might still have a bright future.
All we need to do is include books in shrink wraps, and have an EULA you must agree to before openingg, saying you may not use the book in a copyright infringement prevention system.

Thanks for the troll moderation to a perfectly valid point.
By saying "Perhaps solar cells just aren't efficient enough yet? If that is the case, how efficient would they need to be?", the poster forget the possibility, that even if they were 100% efficient, their help on a jet plane could be negligible. This is not an assertion, just something to think about.
PC:
1. Check Steam page for requirements
2. Realize its ok since the day a two year old PCs was shit are way behind us.
3. Buy from Steam
4. Download, let it upgrade DirectX
5. Play
6. Game is fast since most games are console ports with 2004 level graphics.
8. Crash? Never happened.
Step 1: enforce real name on forum posts
Step 2: Observe that the forums are not used anymore.
Step 3: Remove useless forums.
Blizard doesn't like people typing on keyboards.
I figure they'll remove chat from Wow soon. And replace it with a few hotkeyed messages:
"#PLAYER_CLASS# LFG!"
"Heal plz!"
"WTF! NOOB!"...
Go to a store? In what century are you living ?
No resell? Big deal... with steam sales it would be not worth my time to try reselling them.
Also I've never had a game stop working because Valve pushed the kill switch.
Steam's so convenient that I buy on it some games that I have on DVD.
Then obviously, for the greater good of all, we should forbid every Android App from reading the adress book, or GPS data, or sim data. This would result in a new concept, I will name it the DumbPhone. It would be perfectly safe for the average Joe as the only app able to run on it would be fart generators and minesweeper.
We don't let anybody play with dangerous explosives, or drugs because they might harm themselves or other people ; why should we let anybody use dangerous Smartphones ?
The next obvious step would be anonymous developpers hidding behind an alias. Think Tor, untraceable Onion websites, that kind of thing.
If you can't find the identity of the developper, who are you going to sue?
Poor and destitute bands? Not going to happen because people would have stopped buying their musics. The average Joe doesn't care about limewire lawsuits, RIAA and stuffs.
If you work at USPTO why bother searching prior art? Just take the money and let them patent everything. (And at the end of the day go drink a beer with your lawyer friend).
I played Resident Evil 4 on the Wii. And then RE5 on PS3. The wiimote makes it a fun game, the PS3 analog stick makes it a _pain_ to aim the gun. a friend and I who played through 4 just gave up on 5, simply unfun.
I'm looking forward to that new PS3 wiimote-clone controler, to actually play RE5.
Give me stupid gimmicks like the wiimote everyday please.
AI or computer algorithms are not advanced enough to properlly detect trolls. What chatroulette needs is to filter them thank to the help of real persons.
Before you can chat with someone, you would be required to chat with someone before ; to be sure you're not a troll.
Problem resolved! No more trolls on chatroulette.

...implying you'll still have root privileges on ad-OSes.
1 - forbid site from avoiding copyright infringements.
2 - sue when copies of copyrighted works appear on site.
3 - PROFIT!
Step 1 arrest hackers
Step 2 make them work from jail for peanuts
Step 3 Profit !
That was a FTFY of the summary. I believe the actual game won't be too far from that depiction.

A partially drilled relief well can't blow out. Can it?

Another question is: if they were 100% efficient, would they offset the cost of jet fuel?

It would be A-OK for Activision as long as they are the ones holding the DRM master keys.

No need to have a gold-plated case to have console-level graphics.

When asked if a earthquake will hit, the geologists will say: "We don't fucking know!"

So you suggest that Ukraine require roboticians to have a compagny and accountant?

Awesome! That would lead to an hilarious wave of penises wearing Groucho glasses.
