I assume you mean it will render images at full res, while scaling everything else...but if the images were designed for 1024x768, then you're going to get the same pixelation as any other display.

There's an element of truth, but having photos as memories for later can be rewarding too. The trick is to know when to take photos and when to put the camera/phone down and enjoy the moment(s).
the theory had imagined some other sex chromosome sytem developing, it's actually happened in other animals. like maybe everyone being female but temperature or other environmental stimulus causing a kind of "male" as needed.
gee, you'd really want to be sure of that theory before rejoicing about the disappearing Y chromosome...:)
We know the snake could talk - but there's no requirement for morals, at least not like humans.
The snake only told its view of the world. It didn't talk in terms of morals - it spoke in terms of cause and effect, which animals know well even today.
Here's another thought for you. Suppose the tree wasn't special at all, and that it was just an arbitrary rule. The eating thereof brought about the awareness that they had done something "wrong" (against God's will) and this was the first time they had experienced guilt, and a range of other emotions and behaviours that went along with it. Suddenly their perspective on life was a whole lot different than before...
Now, this is just an idea, and it may well be that the tree did have some "powers" associated with it...as the tree of life must also....but interesting to think about nonetheless.
say you built a robot - it would be pretty easy for you to hide from it if you didn't want to be seen. its a crude example, but kind of demonstrates the point.
science and religion are 2 different fields. generally speaking one cannot disprove the other.
are you claiming that Google has used the ACTUAL CODE that apple used? did they steal any property, intellectual or otherwise?
OR, did they look at what apple had done, and say "yeah, we can do that too".
If that is the case, and they were able to make a similar system easily, then to me that sounds like the patents covered something that is obvious to someone skilled in the art...and are therefore invalid.
A patent should only be valid where someone skilled in the same field would not be able to independently come up with the implementation without inside knowledge on the patent.
you're responding to someone more intelligent than you who has been trying to hit you over the head with a clue stick, and is so far apparently unsuccessful.
enthusiasm and optimism is great, but real advances in technology need a lot more than that. the person/people you've been arguing with have so far shown a fair bit more insight than you have.
To clarify: on an iPhone if you hold down a *specific* letter that's known to have accents, those accents appear above the letter and you slide your finger over to select one. Holding "e" reveals éèêë etc, holding down "a" reveals áàâä etc.
Ah, ok. Android actually shows you the special character that will be accessed by long-pressing a letter, so you know what you'll get. great for brackets etc where you only need one or two.
of course, for multiple numbers or symbols it is quicker to use the 'symbol' button to access all of them.
While you may be right, I wonder if the difference is more to do with full hardware acceleration not coming until Android 3.x, which is only available on tablets.
It just so happens most Android 3+ devices are not single core.
I do have Android 4.0.3 running on a single core Samsung Galaxy S, and I can confirm the scrolling is vastly improved. Any lag would only be from things still being loaded while being displayed, but once a list is loaded, the scrolling is silky smooth.
um, how?

We collect stats here too.
Recently an employee left to go overseas and his manager thought it might be interesting to read out some of his stats.
Turns out that most of his commits were on mondays and wednesdays, the 2 days we work from home.
Make of that what you will, but no one here would deny the benefits of working from home.
I would argue, that even if the only benefit was happier workers, the company still wins.
I dunno, with all this talk of higgs' bosom I'm really hoping this "higgs" is a woman.
We can't directly observe air aether...
FTFY
not even sure if it makes sense, but thought I'd have fun with the words anyway...

surely the Y chromosome going away would mean the X one following less than 120 year later...??
The manual is fine, its the people who interpret it wrongly who need to be updated.
Genesis 6:3 most likely refers to 120 years as the remaining time before the flood would destroy them. nothing to do with the maximum age of anyone.
If you want further evidence to back up your comment, just look in Genesis 11. Noah's sons lived much longer than 120, as did their sons...
its funny, but he got married before he ate the fruit...
Not true. There is a hebrew idiom used "dying thou shalt die". So it basically means that this is the process by which he would EVENTUALLY die.
And it is absolutely true. In the day he ate it, the dying process started.

Just wanted to point out that Adam and Eve had Seth as well. Further, Genesis 5:4 tells us Adam had daughters (plural) too.
The sin was Adam & Eve's sin. not sure why you have capitalised it. sin just means "disobedience of God's law" or however you want to phrase it.
There isn't much evidence either way for what the animals did before the fall...so any ideas we may have are purely conjecture.
This is more like "making profit no matter the cost".
Not all for-profit organisations work that way. Many companies actually try to follow a code of ethics in the way they do business.
This move by Sony is seen as extremely insensitive and unethical.
all the other guy was saying is that it will take more than the technology we have without our reach right now.
he was saying we will need something much better than rockets based on fossil fuels.
anyway this isn't my argument, i'm done here.
you're making some assumptions there...

billions of dollars of R&D stolen?

but people used the same argument when 2.x WAS the great experience?
software doesn't degrade just because a new version is out.

The part of it that gets me is that its the managers who allocate the work in the first place.
Aha, so if you and that other guy worked on the same team then both your jobs would be very safe.
Linux desktop is mainstream where I work. When is this tablet shipping?

Thanks for this exchange, it's been informative.
No problems. thanks to you too :-)

the late Kim Jong himself put it together using only a paper clip, a mashed potato and a bucket of play-doh
That's misleading. The play-doh was just because he got bored while making the bomb.
I heard it was the other way round...
er, one could claim that the black topped parking lot is "dark".
No one is claiming that it would be dark if you were standing on the moon, just that the moon itself, is a "dark" colour...
