Because all classes/races start at Silvermoon, right? It's an alternative for experienced characters with a friend (or friends) who can help summon, or otherwise get them to the starting zone... but not for newbies, as referenced above.
I lied. I lied thru the teeth and said I had been living here for 9 years. I'm American, serving on a USAF base here, and wanted an iPhone. Due to the retarded policies of (all) cellphone carriers I've ever come across, I just simply lied, got my phone, and am a happy paying customer.
Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

That's what kills me about the legacy apps people always bring up. Why do ---I--- need legacy code for your disgustingly old database software (or insert another example)? I don't! Rebuild the operating system from the ground up, and let legacy users stay on that software. For the rest of us that need a modern system, bring out Windows Awesome or we'll just continue looking for other options.
I post to slashdot because, by the nature of how the site is designed, it encourages people to stop by and debate a topic with multiple peope. The only restrictions I'm aware of are a) staying on topic, and b) be somewhat mature in your ramblings. Twitter is designed for people to sign up as a listener of a person's short messages (tweets). Those short messages make it more difficult to convey a thorough message. Also, it's a very one-way discussion.
I don't know why, but after previewing my message above, part of it was cut off. My major complain with Twitter is the way it encourages a "celebrity" thought process from those tweeting. It's a lot like those blogs that people put up on the net, and abandon after one or two posts --- I'm sorry, but the majority of people out there posting their thoughts are not as interesting as they think they are. Including me.
Otherwise, I'd probably get paid to put my thoughts out there.
I just don't see this lasting more than another year --- and I think I'm being generous. I honestly can't understand why anyone is fascinated with reading
It might be different if the messages were more directed, or useful. But sending messages so "my fans" (subscribers) can read them is just..../shrug.
I'm not sure if your first suggestion is a "best-case" suggestion. Would you/we really want dummy code inserted for UI events? Wouldn't this open up a potential backdoor for code injection, thus defeating the intent of the seperated processes?
Or am I way off track?
Wow.
Before commenting on Slashdot forum posts you could, I don't know, do something as wild and crazy as perhaps READING about how sarcasm is usually done. If you would have used your eyes before your itchy fingers you'd understand that a sarcastic post is more often done out in the open. Naturally the sarcasm has to start somewhere, right? Or did you think that the stork delivered your sense-of-humor as well?
My original post wasn't a radical post against OSS (though I question whether your's was).

What the hell did they release? A box of crayons where you have to draw the Internet manually?:)
I wouldn't have known this had I not been stationed overseas, but in the United Kingdom I got an iPhone 3G contract for approx $47 a month. It included:
600 talk minutes
500 texts
Unlimited data / internet
The contract is for 18 months. While that supports Waspleg's point that it costs $800 (my figures show approx $846), it doesn't support your $100 a month. For me, $47 a month is quite reasonable for what is included. If I bought this hypothetical $800 iPhone without a contract, I would get none of the talk/text/internet time.
So where's the subsidization again?
Thank you for linking this video. Wow! This guy is the REAL Doc Brown lol. I watched every moment of it in awe. So that's how ol' school electronics was done:)
Really, thanks!
The base i'm stationed at is in the middle of nowhere, so my iPhone cannot get a 3G signal. I loathe letting my wife check her Yahoo email on the phone because it takes so god damned long to download. As for my Gmail account, it only takes a few seconds.
That's why I stick with Google for so much. Clean, fast, and efficient.
Someone tell MSNBC, CNN, and Foxnews they're no longer viable.

I'm including your post as my signature.....
....on every website I frequent. LOL.
Where in this discussion so far did someone suggest otherwise?
You know what I did in the UK for my O2 iPhone?

It's sad that I had to do that.

I was reading an article on Slashdot, not even two hours ago, where a poster begged for someone to post an example of a tax being repealed.
:)
Your move
We could name it "Freedom", and maybe ask for donations of $1.05......
"crossed the memes" --- I wish I had mod points for +10, Spilled My Drink.

Actually, as a Technical Sergeant in the USAF, I cannot legally discriminate based on sex.

I wish I had mod points for the above. Simple, yet lol-worthy.

I can see your disconnect --- there's nowhere I know of in the US or Europe where the iPhone costs $800.

Just had to stop by with a "LOL" since I don't have any mod points at the moment.
I'll be able to finally run Crysis at full effects? :)

Whatever happened to the "looks-like-a-liquid" that was evaporating from the soil where one of the rovers was scraping?
Good thing our clean, articulate President is no longer a candidate :D
Let's leave politics out of this discussion.
