My favorite are the keychain size SD or CF readers. They are FULL replacements for zip disks as they go at capacities up to 4 Gigs and the medias are exchangeable for use infinite expansion and filing.
Cool!! Antigrav works by using ionic wind. So where do I go to find a mod for SI Ionic Breeze to convert it antigrav device? I foresee a rapid increase in ionic breeze sales
Yeah, but have you actually seen the 80yr old do it? It's not by blinding speed. It's by judicious application of force at where the master knows the young men are vulnerable...
Maybe the actual techniques were inaccurate. However, general methods like trial and error (auto-dialer), Social engineering for hacking, Server room talk on how you MIGHT do something were dead on in my opinion.
Frankly Telco Central offices are some of the most *NIX friendly environment because reliability is more important than beauty. Many telcos staved off the insurgence of Window's dominance in the corporate world and continued with using *NIX.
So this is one territory which Linux can move into more easily because it can show clear functional improvement paths and will be less resistance because they were already using *NIX
Exactly, it's our thirst for this content right now that makes us willing to suffer the annoying aspects of the movie theatre. However, if it can be sated, even a little, by downloads, it's gonna hurt the Box office of the movie significantly.
Movies generally work on a downward slope in the box office where the first week is the peak and the curve stays pretty much the same for a movie of similar quality and targetted towards the same demographics.
People who see the movie the 2nd / 3rd wk will see it because their friends have seen it or want to see it again. If your can see it on computer and can be satisfied, you're probably just gonna burn a copy and do the same. This results in a permanent loss to the revenue.
The big e-merchants don't do anything to preemptively because PanIP is putting potential competitors out of business.
In fact, if PanIP is smart and continue to extort small sums even to large companies, they might get away with it forever because large companies will pay the small sum to get them to go away and spreading out the cost is much easier for the large company. Small companies will not have the financial capability to sustain the siege, less competition for the big guys.:(
Huh? Ford is NOT happy to supply info about its design because you might be a competing designer. It supplies it in limited amount to mechanics, at a fee paid by the mechanics. Mechanics may have to get NDA if sensitive info is given
Maybe you can get the info if you're an authorized Tivo repairman or if you pay enough for it, like the amount of Tivo R&D for all their work so far, or just buy their company. I don't have that in my back pocket, do you? If you do, then you have the right to give it away
Piracy and IP protection schemes are two different things, even though they might be related.
IP protection is evil when it prevents fair use. Fair use covers most non-commercial personal uses. Piracy is using of IP for commercial purposes without permission, stealing from the originator to line your own pocket
You are misstating facts to get your point across. I'm not saying that there are no such people that you describe. But I think the majority defend KaZaA because you should be able to distribute content you have rights to.
Many disagree on the extent of right, but kazaa clearly allows the distribution of material of independent producers who want to. I personally do NOT use KaZaA for any content I can get in the US. I'll do without.
Doing without is at issue here, do we have a RIGHT to purchase content at a "reasonable" percentage of our income regardless of the cost of production? I don't mean the production of the media, but of the actual content. What if I'm unemployed and have no income, everything should be free?;-)
You gotta be kidding! Comrade "Continent", it is not the "communist" regime that is causing the double digit growth, it's the capitalitic economic policy.
The current regime is "communist" in name only, it is more totalitarian than anything else. When it was communist, there was the "great leap forward" and "cultural revolution" which raped China of its industrial capability, culture, and trust in people.
You seem to be under the impression that China is under operation of true capitalism. NOT TRUE! Capitalism / private enterprise is only allowed in the special economic region. This is the only part of China really growing.
The economy was totally failing under the communist / socialist economy. Deng realised this and took bold steps to address this and it is working great.
You are right about there being massive problems outside the economic regions. But communist economic policies have definitely failed.

Just what I was looking for, all BS, all the time ;)
This sounds like an interesting way to get rid of nuclear waste!
Considering that Titanic is the Box office champion of the world, I wonder how close it matches?
Japanese have had a business model where used panties are sold for money. In fact, there are even vending machines that sell them
And would save Peter Jackson Millions in special effects :)
This reminds me of Blade Runner. So, Bladerunner will kill me for my lack of personality

The million+ folks who got laid off since the burst of the dot-com bubble and have not yet gotten a new job say "NO"!

Actually, they already do. It's called Alpha Flight. Although I think they canned it due to poor performance :)
Of course Segway is not IT, it's HT. IT is the next rev

Uh, unless it's Xmas in July or August, otherwise, I think the North Pole will still be frozen over in December.
;-)
Remember, Santa submerges the workshop in the non-Xmas months to minimize theft

So this is precursor to the system show in Bill and Ted's excellent adventure!!
Will the stations look like phone booths?

I don't buy this story about Butlers calling for Jihad against infidel masters. They are too busy serving tea! This is simply... uncivilized...
I thought EU stood for Estados Unidos and is the United States in Spanish ;-)
MP5?! You're gonna storm a 747 with a video codec? Does it compress your weapons arsenal or something?
