This is open source. You know, where we all help each other to make a better product? Unlike Microsoft, where you pay THEM to test THEIR product and then you get NOTHING in return.
If you don't want to support this project, then don't. It's as simple as that. Just don't come here comparing us (the open source community) to Microsoft.:-(
Actually, it's a VERY good thing that people like Bob Young are speaking out. We need a lot more of this. We, as users and fans of Open Source applications and operating systems, know that Darl is full of crap. There are some, unfortunately, that feel Darl is right. If more people like Bob speak out, it will help bring those people to our side.
Really? Have you heard the latest news about Mr. Dean? When he was Governor, he "locked up" certain papers for 10 years pertaining to things that happened while he was Governor (wrong things). Are you sure you want him as President?
I'll tell you what. As a mountian biker and someone that has witnessed some terrible accidents, you're an absolute IDIOT if you don't wear a helmet! I don't care if you're riding trails or on the street. Wear a helmet!!! By the way, not all helmets cost $100.
Great point! As a mountain biker, I don't like this idea at all. What am I suppose to do when I'm 12 miles into a ride and my chain breaks? This would make for a long walk back. My pack would be really heavy with all the tools that I would have to carry to be able to make an attempt at repair. I'll stick with my good 'ol Santa Cruz Blur........
I agree that it's easier to install but it doesn't include much in the way of applications that a "former" Red Hat user may be use to. Don't get me wrong, as an Information Security Analyst, I love MEPIS and use it all the time. It just may not be what the "average" user is looking for.
Thank you for saying that. They SHOULD first worry about their country and the people living in it.
If they really want to go to space, they should work closely with all of the other countries that have been doing it for a while. Instead of fighting, we should all work together on a common goal.
Very good points. I live in Indianapolis (about 30 miles from where the election was held). Myself and some co-workers were talking about the exact point that you brought up. It makes you think.......
I agree. What the hell is the problem with our government? Are they really this stupid? Internet access means Internet access, be it cable, DSL, dial-up, whatever.
I am so sick of electing idiots to run our country!
Red Hat if far from being dead! They are doing very well, thank you. They just decided to service larger organizations where there is more money to be made (let's face it, there are plenty desktop versions of Linux to go around). And just because a company like SuSE is "bought out", doesn't mean they are dead.
Exactly!
:-(

Wow.....that was stupid.
Exactly!
Okay, enough with trying to be funny.....this is really getting old.
The books have been out for a very, very long time. Now, with that said, stop trying to be funny. You're making yourselves out to be idiots!
What a waste of money and electrical resources.
I completed the survey and was very honest.
I'm sure I'm probably alone in saying this, but......I didn't think it was all that good.

Actually, I want to add to what I wrote above....
What does you not liking how Bush is running the US have to do with Israel testing Mandrake Linux?
I agree. Why mention Bush?
All the billboards are bad enough, now they want to do this?
I'm sorry, this is a stupid idea!
Actually, the NWS is very good at predicting what is not an exact science.
If you were trying to be funny, then I'm sorry, you failed.

Very, very good points. Maybe since Red Hat is "sort of" out of the picture, Debian will starting getting the attention and appreciation it deserves.
Very insightful, thank you for the good post.

Who's to say SuSE won't remain in Germany?
Could you possibly be any more full of it?
