  1. Netflix has lost its luster on Netflix is Testing a New 'Ultra' Tier of Service (cnet.com) · · Score: 2

Netflix used to be great with lots of good TV shows and movies. They did well with some OC but lately everything feels B rated and meh.

It's bad enough that I've pulled the plug last month and canceled it.
Maybe next year I'll do a month free trial and see if things have improved.

  2. Re:Think that's bad? on Facebook Will Harass You Mercilessly If You Try To Break Up (slate.com) · · Score: 1

Most companies require you to talk to their 'accounts retention department' which is a pool of experienced salespeople. Vonage was worse in that they parked your call for at least an hour regardless of salesperson availability. They would then drop your call at least twice so you had to wait an hour each time.

Next time ask to speak with escalations dept. Tell them you are moving to Liberia to serve a 5 year humanitarian mission and need to cancel the service.

They have been doing this since 2002 before smartphones were even a blip and probably somewhere all of these logs exists in a database including details such as what other phones were near yours and how often. They also don't seem to speak more than the same 5 words repeated over and over with subtitles for 95% of their dialog.
All logic is thrown out the window when it comes to the protagonists on the Federation side. No way any of these people would have made it up the ranks that far being this stupid. I really didn't care what happened to any of the characters as they seemed so forced much like in Alien Covenant. Anybody could die and nobody would care.

I'm not going to pay to watch any more of it.
