Well I like the concept! It's not meant to be pretty, an alternative form of cheap labor, or cure cancer.
"[The idea of the] project was to bring the recording qualities of a tree and its dependence on natural cycles into products. Therefore machines were developed which are recording and producing at the same time."
It helps reading before you spool drivel;D
I think Townes and his team are excited because it gives a chance to look at a real supernova rockstar, or it's progression at least; if it happens at all.
Who can forget John Romero's head on a pole, hidden behind the boss demon in the last level of Doom II? Or the level full of Wolfenstein 3D Nazi's, with Command Keen hanging from a noose!
The most sacred place must be when I was creating maps for DN3D, Blood & Doom, browsing the sprites you'll find a few that were never used in-game.
Agreed, as a win dev (cringe) I see this often! Accounting systems, vss and a others all cause headaches, and what's the default solution most people have? Disable UAC. That's no good either!
Older apps that use unmanaged / low-level code stop working, why? Because they we're written before UAC existed. These apps weren't necessarily badly written, they just accommodated the host OS's capabilities. The host just didn't have a well thought out, solid foundation.
This is nothing other than bad design, Windows is like an old dilapidated house, rooms overlapping each other to cover the cracks in the lower rooms. It's a maze of hacks, and UAC is just another hack to cover up the holes in the foundation. Did I mention Windows is built upon an old Indian burial ground?
Well I'm having such a blast already, trying to run my original copy of Half-Life 2 through WINE, and fair enough even unsupported, I could've been playing 3 months ago if STEAM wasn't such a clunky piece of hack. Now this?
I'd rather have my PC haunted by a poltergeist!
Pandora and spotify.com both don't serve as far abroad as our unknown country of South Africa:p
I would gladly pay for this service, if only I could afford the bandwidth to stream the music in the first place, that would be grand...
Even fake spam will circulate and congest the tubes, not? It's like punishing someone for being naive. Rather educate than catch, it goes a lot further.
Excellent point! In that case a friendly "Can we use your photo, please?" Wouldn't be bad either.

Before flashy effects and extreme graphics, games had real, belieivable content.
Hoarding is a way for game designers (not developers!) to add content that seems meaningful. Just fill it up, baby.
Hey, new research study idea: "Faux studies are contaminated by game players born and bred by bad design"
This is plusgood doublethink, it's Ingsoc slowly revealing itself.
You can capture some killer action photos with it!

The article led me to other articles, all of which are just as badly 'written' (read: bunch of videos).
Obviously Activision can do whatever they want if they own the rights, but agreed... it's a lame tactic.
And what's this mystical powers story?! What about taking out an entire Nazi base with your Luger!
Wonders if they will remake the secret level with Commander Keen, 3D style...
*Runs off to learn the shortcuts* :-)
Not for me either, even with 3GB of RAM it's not speedy enough (vista*ahem*) Rather try some of the many suggested linux distros!
