Pardon my "French". I check Bleeping Computer's site often, since our shop works on PC's. Their Combo Fix was a godsend back in the day, and is still useful on Windows 7 machines that are infected. Spy Hunter, on the other hand, is a piece of shit run by slim balls. I will never Spy Hunter. AdwCleaner, Combo FIx, Junkware Removal Tool and others do a better job and aren't put out by assholes.

I'm more concerned about Hillary's current inability to continually focus for long periods of time during campaign speeches. Maybe she's tired. But there are recent videos of her speeches where she just freezes up and needs to be nudged to continue talking. The long brain farts scare me more than whether she's corrupt or not.

  4. These people are simply criminals that should be sought out and arrested. I don't fall for the BS that their crimes help the local community. Assholes, plain and simple.

  5. Anniversary update lockup issues on Ask Slashdot: Share Your Experiences With Windows 10 · · Score: 3, Informative

The Anniversary update has caused my ThinkPad laptop (gen 5 Core i3) to occasionally freeze up. A hard reset then takes over a minute on a black screen after the splash screen shows up. This machine has an SSD and normally boots in about 15 seconds. So, this is an annoyance that I hope gets fixed fast.

  6. Data caps are the real issue that is mostly ignored in the US. What is the point of having 50-Mbps speeds if you are charged for going over your (X-GB.month) data cap? It's far to easy to do so. We need a class action suit against the land based ISP's for this gouging tactic.

I disagree with your claiming that it's more the users fault than Microsoft's. MS is doing whatever they feel like doing to users computers, these days. Time to find alternatives. I personally researched many Linux distros (tested Live) and found that Mint 18 does everything that I need it to do. LibreOffice, included, opens all my Excel, Word and Publisher files perfectly. It can't save in Publisher's file format, but it can open it. Windows 10 is no longer needed by most computer users, especially those that just surf the web and check their email.

  10. No to both questions. Instead of working on a deeper database of safe application (Smart Shield) and extending it to scripts run on browsers, MS is oddly targeting drivers that might be needed. It is very much like they want to clear out the troublesome customers and focus on the sheeple that will spend what it takes to run Windows because they don't know that a Chromebook will surf the web and check email just as well, if not better than Windows 10.

Linux share of the desktop/laptop market has doubled in the last eight years to over 2% today. That's not too shabby. I really like Mint 18 Cinnamon. It actually does everything for me that Windows does. This is the first distro that I've tested over the last 20 years that met my goal of a distro installing everything, including drivers for my network printer, quickly, easily and the first time. LibreOffice 5.1 even opens my Excel templates the same as Excel does, and prints correctly. I set the default LibreOffice file formats as .docx and .xlsx, for compatibility. It also opens Publisher files. What's not to like?

This information will likely be the most correct.

The only problem I see with SMS codes is that if you don't have your phone you can't log into your MS, or other, online account from a new device. If you do have it, receiving the SMS is simple. 19. I've found Edge to be unstable on many sites. It's also slower than Chrome, Firefox, or Opera. The biggest issue I have with Edge is that I cannot add uBlock Origin as an extension, which reduces data usage and speeds up browsing. Edge is a real POS that should never have been released when it was. Edge being the default browser on Windows 10 is what helped Chrome become the most widely used desktop browser. Microsoft will do and say whatever they can to try to win people back to the MS browser camp. No thanks.

The Islamist terrorist activities are encouraged by their "holy" books. I have always viewed Islam as the religion of evil, not of peace which is what they falsely claim. Recent activities have only strengthened my belief that the world has 1.3 billion people that either kill "infidels" with impunity, want to kill them, or silently support the killings. Muslims that see the light and denounce evil are no longer Muslims. I encourage everyone to read the Koran. See for yourself how Muhammad went from founding a movement that was encouraged to get along with others, down the path of insanity where he directed believers to kill those that did not convert or follow the laws that Muhammad set for them. The Western world has been shielded from this truth for too long. We can share a planet. We cannot share a country with these folks.
