A lot of the moderators here don't quite understand what it means to be a proper moderator. Of course its easier to mod down some of the junk than trying to find something worth modding up.
Perhaps others agreed with my view, that it was rather lame book. Essentially it was just the illiade with a few bits and bobs through in. Boy was i disappointed after Hyperion.
Well, you know the americans have this odd habit of ending their mails/emails with "thanks, " - not sure why they are giving thanks, perhaps that we managed to struggle through their missive.
But at least we know the guilty party is american!
People are sheep. They right away accept the amoral "slavery" of "license agreements" - and if you read the small print, you don't really own the DVD's you have essentially paid to loan them for an indeterminant time subject to a long list of stipulations.
Oh you naive child! This is George "here is this script i whipped up in the bathroom earlier" Lucas - but there'll be nifty graphics. (Hey, that as another moderator against free speech)
Wow, journalism is getting better all the time... an anonymous person writes a note to cinescape telling them he's heard the people on the set are worried about getting cancled... wow - that's some cool research right there!
Except, he didn't lie. And most don't really give a damn. It would be something entirely else if he had said that he tried a medicine and it was great, and he hasn't. Of course who cares if some anchor endorses a medicine - Darwin prize candidates no doubt.
content providers who run these worlds should have complete control over their own content. For them not to have control over it would sort of be a strange form of censorship itself, would it not?
I made this axe so i should be allowed to plant it in your skull - sure. Hell no, its like saying the phone company has a right to dictate what you talk about on the phone.

Meaning: We are greedy bastards.
that PS2 owners say that the ps1 games look better?? If it was just the same hardware they should look the same, no?
Googledotting?
They picked it up from the americans no doubt ;)
:)
Of course both are really fake, you should end with "end of letter"

You gotta be kidding!? Why the fuck do the morons need to spam my box 24/7 with their shit. Grrrrrrrrrrr
Good thing they are only quoting someone else, eh?
Or are they just naturally biased?
But why not at least NOMINATE an actor for best supporting from LOTR?
Because once people fall out of love with the film, they will realise that the acting in ROTK wasn't particularly fantastic.
.. a lot of people in the tolkien newsgroups seem to think that Return of the King was lost in translation..
but was more fiction than fact.
Only if you are an idiot.

Except Windows XP.
Except Slashdot doesn't have censorship (except when the regular staff interferes) it has user driven democracy.

No news in this neck of the woods i think ;)
Did you know that its your attitude that causes people to oppose you on general principle?
'I agree that the risk is tiny, but it does exist.'
You have a greater chance of getting cancer from your cell phone battery.
And since research has proved that cell phones cause mutations in the rat brains, that seems an unplesant bet.
