>Us heterosexual males who get to watch, that's who.
No trollboy that's not true (unless you meant US for United States, perhaps its an American phenomenon to get turned on by a girl with a body like a twelve year old boy as long as she has erect nipples) - but I suppose virgin males get overly excited by things they hope are yet to come.
They are still talking about scanners and beams. Junk that and get with OLEDS - organic light emitting dioeds. Since Kodak discovered this in 1987 they've been working hard to make it a usable technology, and now they claim its here. Lightyears ahead of old LEDS (these a crystal clear and sharp, and need no back projection), as wide as a wall or as small as a screen on a creditcard, these things are slim and cheap.
Though admittedly they will not shine a laser in your eye:)
Such as Denmark, some people complained about other people being able to look up who you were. So now the whois information has been made much more restricted, and dk hostmaster will supress information if people requestit.

So? I've never read about Spiderman or seen anything about him. I wouldn't have known he got his powers by being bit if i hadn't seen the trailer. I'll know about Spiderman when i see the movie.
if people create emotional bonds to something, they have every right to wish and dream, they may not have any reason to expect - but who the hell are you to deny them their dreams.
>Gameplay and UI are what made Total Annihilation great.
And totally lame computer is what made any kind of skirmish game against the computer a joke. The programmer must have been a 3 year old. Its an offence even to mention it in the same paragraph as Starcraft. The AI in the Starcraft skirmish engine on the other hand was totally brilliant. It didn't just overrun you because it had more money to startwith (as in just about any other game), but it found weaknesses in your defences, tested them and then tried something else instead of boorishly trying the same thing over and over. And it ever boxed itself in (except on badly made user maps) it always found ways to expand, sourround and attack. Gawd i hope they make Starcraft 2 - I've always been more partial to a laser than some old sword *G*
>You didn't see those films if you think they >glorify war.
Didn't see either, because I got the idea that it was about people being blown up, sounds... not intersting. I do know that most younger people who have seen them tends to tell me about all the COOL scenes in the film were people get killed.
I remember when The Abyss was new, i wanted to buy it on VHS - but the British had censored the bit with rat in the special liquid solution (probably thought it was cruelty towards animals...) BUT it seems the rest of europe was getting the british version? Ie, we were all stuck with their censorship - didn't make sense to me, but that's the way it was.
While much Fan fiction might not called great art, there is much of it. And that is written by fans who actually love to tell stories. Take any popular show, and you'll find a slew of fans, regular people with regular jobs, but their hobby is to write stories, love stories about characters in their favorite show, or action stories and any kind of story that just might take place on their favorite show, and they don't get payed to write this. That's not because nobody reads it, there are legions of other people out there who read those tories and love them. If the "big" writers go, others will take their place. And face it, while not all writers are motivated by the dream of the big score, a lot of them are, because with books, or so has it been, you keep getting payed... unlike if Joe Schmo builds a bridge - does he keep getting payed when someone uses it? Naa.

No no, "Thank Q!"

That's what bin laden says about you.
Ah, I remember "greatest american hero", such great fun - wonder how it would hold up today
There is no such thing as "copyright theft"(and he IS a lawyer):

>>Why is it some kids get so carried away by such a thing? Unless you are the cause; who cares!
>Uh, why do you go to movies at all? Unless you are the main character, why do you care?
Ah, good point. A million people go for a million different reasons, one can only wonder about some of them.

Face it, a lot of people like the violence.
