Hardcore gamers the lifeblood of gaming! The wii has been incredibly sucessful because it allows people to pick up a controller and play. By being the cheapest console, Nintendo sacrificed hardcore gaming for casual gamers, and earned bucketloads off it.
Sure, $5000 is more tempting than $500, but any sensible business owner will realise quite quickly that they should take the $500 when there's no chance of them getting the $5000.

I think Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a perfect example of a modern war game that hasn't gotten too much flack.
Yes, but it wasn't based as strongly on a real life conflict, this game was based strongly on a conflict, and it also presents it from the non-American view from what I can make out from the feature article
